On the 2nd October Carol is due to depart the Square. And while it sounds as though she will be joining Robbie, Sami and Bianca's family in Milton Keynes, it also teases her surprising them all at the last minute and putting herself first to seize happiness. Could this be a surprise reunion with David? And if so do we see Michael French making a one-off guest appearance? I know originally Lyndsey Coulson was due to leave prior to the cancer plot and leave with David too, so maybe they will get a happy ending? Tbh it would make up for his shoddy and convoluted exit last time - thoughts?

So is Robbie not back full time? Just to facilitate Carols exit then?

Doesn't Robbie live in india? so why would he go to Milton Keynes with Carol

and yes Robbie is back for a few episodes.

I have heard of anything to do with Lindsey leaving prior to the cancer plot. David was meant to leave but Michael French was persuaded to stay a little bit longer when they pitched the storyline to him.

Oh, I hope so, and I hope we see them ride off into the sunset together.

tbh I dont see it somehow - I think Carol will leave with Robbie and go live in India

she dumped David on their wedding day (didnt she ) so I really cant see him forgiving her and coming back for her (again)

unless I am totally and utterly wrong and she didnt dump him on her wedding day - I cant quite remember!

Well if Robbies only back for a few episodes then, clearly it negates the need for David to return

He's split up from his wife, so therefore decides to live near to Bianca, and Carol will join him

Think Robbie is moving to Milton Keynes too. Think the reason he really came back reveals this (it has been revealed in spoiler articles on DS so I won't repeat here).

The romantic in me, would love to see David back, but I highly doubt it will happen. I guess, even if Robbie was just visiting the UK, he would want to go visit his sister & nephews etc.

I think the spoilers confirm that

Spoiler

I think it would be a bit too rushed if David returns for Carol and they leave happily ever after, but who knows?

I doubt it. David's main leaving line was that he and Carol finally accepted they just were not good for each other. That it was, truly, never going to happen. To go back on that now would just seem tacked on.

Then again, this is Eastenders, so...

I expect Happy Carol will be nice and jovial and cheery throughout her exit, true to form.

It would be nice but I can't see it happening.

Sonia & Rebecca should also leave now.

So much this. I can't believe Cindy is gone while Rebecca is still there And the less said about the horrible Sonia witch the better.

No, you're correct. She had a go at him for having a heart attack and dumped him.
I'd have loved them to end up together and have a happy ending but I wouldn't want them to rush it into an episode or two.

Does anyone know if David's last episode is anywhere online? Or atleast the scene where he danced with Carol to Misty Blue? It was 30th May 2014, but I can't find it. Cheers.

I do hope Mr. Misty Blue turns up and sweeps her off her feet for a bit to a foreign land. She deserves a bit of happiness.

If he does, he'll appear on her doorstep eating a sandwich or a slice of toast .....

I'd rather he didn't come back for her. She's better off without him. He always lets her down.

I would imagine if Michael French was available to return (or Patsy Palmer for that matter) for Carol's exit, they wouldn't have bothered making the call to Dean Gaffney in the first place.
