Well Austin and Jenna seem big on "loyalty" despite bashing James all the time. They have spoken behind James' back many times. After the save on Friday, on live feed, James said everything to Austin whilst Jenna and Austin started a row with them. When Austin went to James in the bathroom, he then left, went to Jenna and started talking about James to her AGAIN.

Then lets not forget the first person Jenna nominated was Austin when she moved to the room.

AND, Jenna has always said "you should stay loyal to YOUR team" when she speaks about Team USA. Now that James was loyal to Team UK, she doesn't like it.

It says more about them than him imo. He nominated hid closest friends because even he could see how horrible they were

As I have just posted, I find no reason why James should ever be loyal to Jenna when she has bitched about him over 20 times across the series, and said very bad things about him in the room.

I think tactical nominations are a valid discussion point.

Exactly. People also forget that Bobby and Natasha nominated him too (and Clovie) for exactly the same reason. Natasha who has been a friend to Austin. It's not just James who saw it.

People then also forget that Sherrie nominated Bobby. Shouldn't they be "loyal" to each other?

Red Card referee!!!

How you can blame Jenna for saying anything about anybody in the room of unreality, the room of false pretense. The room of bitchy provocation... Beyond me.

And i'll give you a reason why you should expect loyalty from James to Jenna.

A. He calls her a friend.
B. He calls himself a loyal person.

He's a tactical player salv and i'm quite sure you know this and quite sure you see the tactical advantage in hiding his tactics.

Edit - I've just read your previous reply #27

That about sums it up

James likes Austin and Jenna more than the other housemates

But he doesn't want the public to judge him by the company he keeps, so he threw them under the bus to suck up to the viewers

I can just picture him walking on't moors with that special person called his grandfather. A brace of rabbits on his back, the old man brings the whippets and ferrets to heel, takes off his flat cap, in which nests his favourite pigeon, puts his gnarled old hand, hardened from many years down't mine, on young Jim's shoulder. "Remember lad" he says, sagely, "there comes a time in life when a man has to sh*t on his mates if that's what it takes to get what he wants"

Reminds me of this god awful commercial I saw:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yEr2bXC15I

IF their tagline is tweaked a little it could become James's new tagline.

Sorry, I don't get why he should be loyal to her out of all people

As I have said, she is the person out of the whole house along with Farrah that bitched about him the most. A "friend" doesn't mean you can't nominate them when they have done something wrong.

I'd nominate a friend if I thought they were being an asshole. I wouldn't want loyalty with people who act in a certain way. Austin and Jenna have calmed down now.

Out of everyone, Jenna deserves the least loyalty from James in the house. As I said again, she has been awful behind his back. He doesn't even know 90% of the stuff she has said behind his back, I just don't know how people aren't seeing it.

As for Austin, James would have been pretty dumb to think nominating his friend who was in the Top 4 was going to score points with the viewers, It's a stupid tactic. If I wanted to really win, I'd want to get support from the public by arguing with the people I knew were unpopular, not the people I knew were popular.

That's a ridiculous thing to do So it proves he did it because he was annoyed at Austin, not because he wanted the public to say "YAYYY, he nominated his friend, he must win now".

A huge majority of HMs in the past kick off with people they know are unpopular. As a HM said in the past (cant remember which series) "You need to be careful who you fight with, because if you row with the favourite to win, you are done" (I think it was BB6 Craig).

If James wanted to get points from the public, he would have gone against the Bobby's, the Janice's and The Sherrie's knowing they weren't as popular.

That's the point , they are no competition for him.
James knew as of Friday who were the top 4 and Austin was then his competition ....he wasn't going to nominate the Fakers as he saved Janice for them and he couldn't nominate the other Brit ...Natasha.

But Hms don't do that though. If they wanted to score points, they'd know they'd need to go for people who are not that popular.

Getting rid of the competition is a bad move and always has been in BB. It doesn't score points with the public. Scoring points would be going for unpopular people.

James would have to be very very dumb to get rid of people he knew were popular because that is not a good trait in a BBUK HM.

That's why it's not what he was doing. Austin was being appalling, friend or not. I wouldn't let any friend speak to anyone like he has been.

End of story

I still don't understand why he nominates Austin then cuddles up to him in bed with his arms round him the next night, it doesn't make sense.

Because they got over it.

Austin got over James' nomination and James got over Austin' behaviour. That's what I like about them, yes it can be like WWIII at the time, but soon after, it's like nothing ever happened.

Just like me and my sister, our rows and you wouldn't expect us to speak for months. Then she comes up to me and says something like "want to get some food".

You say this even after hearing James say in regards his Jenna nom "you've done nothing wrong, really" According to James, which is the truth, eh? Either he betrayed Jenna by nominating her or he's lying to her now by saying i had no legitimate reason for nominating you.

Their not the assholes he is Like i said before all they want is the basis on which his decision to pick Janice was made. Their not asking for this: "because Chloe needed a grandpa figure" They are asking for an answer to this: Why do chloe a favour and not base your decision on friendship.

That's the place they want to reach and the place James continuously retreats away from. Why? Is it because he would then have to explain he'd placed tactical advantage over friendship? Perhaps he'd have to explain that he doesn't really see Jenna as a friend despite tactically behaving that way.

It's quite smart actually considering James knew the effect his nom would have on Austin. Austin has fallen hook line and sinker for James, Austin, like Farrah, is also hot headed and liable to explode under the subtlest of provocations. SCORE!!!

Sound reasoning for the early stages sure, but not for this late stage, There can only be one winner, and at some point you have to tactically challenge the big dogs based on sound reasoning and evaluation of success. James has fashioned a wonderful position to score points off Austin, whilst at the same tim fashioning a wonderful position to look innocent of any wrong doing, although the cracks are plain to see. It's quite baffling how people don't want to see the cracks but plaster over them to aid him to victory

That's rather dramatic IMO - he didn't 'betray' them - he nominated them.

If you want to look at it another way - he was loyal to his team - I'd have thought Jenna at least would understand that. He hasn't fallen out with any of his team mates - he was ,,loyal to them.

James is hanging out with Austin like nothing happened, there's a pic on twitter of them cuddling on the bed a few minutes ago. They're over it, they realize this is just a game.

James can still adore Austin (he said Austin was his best friend in the same breath he nominated him), but he understands at the same time Austin has been on self destruct mode for a few days now. Believe it or not, maybe James actually did nominate Austin for his own good like Bobby said.

See, I don't get that

... in what way would being evicted two days before the final be 'good' for Austin ?

Maybe because as each day goes by he upsets more and more people - turns people against him and goes just a little more crazy. That melt down in the DR is evident that he's going a bit 'crazy' - better out that in IMO.

In that case he's tactically befriending the US team to keep them on side. And yes, given what Jenna has said a while back she should understand it, and i think she does, but she's entitled to draw the game player in James out isn't she? Especially since she's his target.

He's answered it until he was blue in the face - he said clearly on multiple occasions that he did it because he wanted to keep Janice in to be there for Chloe. Whether they (or we) agree or believe him he answered the question.

James will come out with bullshit like "I only nominated you because I knew you were safe mate, I knew you weren't going anywhere. I knew the public would save you".

My hope is that Austin stays (not to win as he's an arse) and exposes James for the weasel he is - without shouting but by more subtle techniques (if he has it in him).
