I feel sorry for Austin

The guy seems to have had a difficult few years in his life and they seem to be taking an emotional toll. Maybe the British people are just very hard but it's weird to see Janice apparently act with impunity whilst behaving in a very cruel, manipulating and vindictive way at times. The British housemates act very noble and sensitive but seem to bypass Janice's antagonist acts and disingenuous nature at will. I suppose it's like 50 Cent says: they always see the punch, they never see the slap.

It's actually quite patronising. Janice is seen as a harmless old fool

Austin on the other hand is seen as a yob. It's all very ageist and sexist tbh

It's Austin's fault if he can't control his temper. Everyone else seems to cope with Janice fine, or at least they don't lose it and look like a complete fool.

Janice is as hard as nails, as she said it is like water under a ducks bridge.

No matter how bad Janice is ....it does not give Austin the right to behave the way he does

It's like they think that any woman over the age of 65 is incapable of being anything but doddery and any young seemingly confident male is incapable of being sensitive. He's reacted badly, but I know that if I was still dealing with the loss of my brother and the imprisonment of my mother I would be liable to lose it every now and then too. It's not necessarily an excuse but it is a reason and maybe some level of understanding would be nice from the Brits. They all seem kind of cold and emotionless choosing to chew out Austin but shy away from holding Janice to task.

See this is my point. Everyone fixates on how he reacted as opposed to what he reacted to. The way he dealt with it was uncomfortable and wrong but it was a reaction to some genuinely vindictive and cruel behaviour to a guy still suffering from bereavement. Again I'm not saying that it was the right reaction but can we not delve past the rabble ourselves to see the human feeling behind it? I just find it pretty robotic to say that he said bad words so "computer says no, cannot process your feelings". Seems like a really cynical way of assessing people. Very cold in my view.

Janice was spiteful in the way she deliberately chose him not to have a letter out of everyone and knowing what he had been through but yet again she gets away with it cos people say that's just Janice being Janice. She is a complete manipulator and yet again the british public fall for her act and will probably keep her in tonight. Janice is about as harmless as a rattlesnake, she knows exactly what she is doing and has everyone fooled.

I think people are already way too soft with Austin, which has led him to believe that he can do whatever he wants and his friends will still be backing him. He found out the hard way that that's not how it works.
He needs to toughen up and be more independent. Or at least understand that if he can go around being 'upfront' and 'honest' then he needs to accept other people being honest with him.

So many excuses for Austin. He is a bully. He is narcissistic. He cries when he does not get his own way. He is 27 going on 5. He is an infant. Janice is also an infant. Both are selfish. Why come to the defence of Austin just because Janice is not very nice either. Both are people to avoid.

I like both Austin and James...

I don't want Austin to go but his behaviour is appalling.

A lot of people have had a bad life. I think that's an excuse too many people use. Just because you have a bad life, does it justify you saying horrific things to people. I don't go around calling people the C word and offend them, and expect to get away with it by saying "well I had a tough upbringing".

In fact, if you have had a bad life, you'd make sure no one goes through what you have.

Austin has gotten off for what he says IMO. It's just a step lower than what Conor said about Deana and he got slaughtered for it. It was similar just with an added "will shove this here" for Conor. But the gist of the rant was similar IMO.

He needed to have been put down by all those people in the kitchen after that. Without question. Friend or not.

Sadly he is using his Brothers death as an excuse for his temper.

Look at all the reaching and clamoring to make excuses for Austin.

He was cast as a villain, just like Farrah. If you like that, great! No need to explain any more.

We know exactly what he feels. From moment to moment. Because he tells us. How he feels is the only thing that interests him.

I don't, hope he goes tonight

Apparently he was like this on a reality show 3 years ago and his brother hadn't died or his mother been sent to prison then so what was his excuse then?

So you think Austin is just fine, because the "poor boy" has been through so much. Do you even stop to think of the things that, maybe, Janice has been through? Don't they, then, forgive her for the way she acts?

His mother stole $680,000 off somebody and then used it pay off Austins credit card bills so she deserved to go to prison. Don't feel bad for him at all!

Is this really true that she paid off his credit card bills?
