His behaviour shouldn't be tolerated or excused.

I get fed up with excuses for bad behaviour. I feel sorry for him wit regard to his mother and brother - but he has to lean to control himself. if I acted like that in my job I would be sacked.

This is why he doesn't take responsibility for his actions. Subconsciously he believes that someone, somewhere will dig him out of trouble. IMO

Austin sits there watching and waiting ready to attack anyone he thinks is being weak. When the tables are turned he goes into victim mode. Other people have gone through a lot of rubbish, and no way does it give him the right to behave the way he does towards people. The only reason he was crying IMO is that he was nommed and wanted to reach the final.

He's not at work He's living in a very stressful situation and had just been nominated by someone he trusted the most in this very stressful situation. I think he was out of order but so does he. He apologised sincerely after which is more than others in there have done after showing anger.

Yes I must admit I wept like a baby when I saw how upset he was in the diary room, after all if Janice had not been selected for the BB house ?
Yes its clearly her fault and he said a few unkind words (bless him) ,and did he not come out to give his apology and receive cuddles from the others ?

Now I wonder if you would be so forgiving had he ranted at your Mother/Sister in the same way ....................... ?
No I thought not.

What else could be do but apologise, none of the hms would have spoken to him after what he said and BB did prompt him to do it. Oh maybe Sherrie would she seems to be in his corner.

Well said patricia. Having a go at Janice the way he did was despicable and he should have been thrown out for that, and as for telling her to learn a trade - well! What is it that Austin is famous for? Being someone' s boyfriend! I hope he goes tonight to very loud boos.

He is at work. He's being paid to be there.

I shed a tear during his diary room rant - without pigeon holing - LGBT people DO have it harder in life (okay it's getting easier but there's a LOOOONG way to go) add his brother dying and his Mother in jail....comparing his hubby's family which seems close. You're going to have a lot of emotions in there

Are you joking He was paid a fee to live with fellow celebs () They aren't abiding by the rules I have to in the office every day. Thank goodness or it would be really dull

No joke. Sorry if you don't grasp it. Just because you have different rules at work, doesn't mean he's not at work. His job is just different than yours. Being on shows like this IS his job.

James would have talked to him and Janice too seeing as she can't remember what he said I personally think his apology was genuine.

Well, he missed a play there, because he never used being gay as one of his excuses for his behavior. Just his brother having killed himself in a (possible) drunk driving accident. His mother going to prison for embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from her employer. Him not being able to move his husband to the US (apparently away from his wonderful family, back to Austin's nightmare family).

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

Hmm The post I responded to said 'If I acted like that in my job I would be sacked.' Austin hasn't and can't be sacked. I suppose he could be chucked out but in order for that to happen he'd have to do an awful lot worse than he has done so far. Therefore it is not work like we are used to in our every day life.

Other than that I agree he's at work

Tbh my mother would never have thrown away his message like that. Seriously not that spiteful. She also wouldn't have goaded him into 'accepting' her insincere apology but not pointing that question at anyone else.

Actually probably wouldn't have made a big show of throwing away her letter in an easily retrievable place in order to force sympathy but then retrieving it and reading it in private.

See my mother is a good woman so she could never have evoked that level of reaction.

On reflection the C word was quite apt for Janice. If I had a sister who acted that way someone would have had to pull her up on it.

Tbf the story about his brother and the stress for the parents is heartbreaking and I feel for them......however Austin is being a right t**t and using this to excuse his ridiculous behavior he is like a 5 year old
