It looks to me that Janice is a lot smarter that she portrays herself to be. I think she felt that she herself would probably be nominated and chose not to nominate Austin because she knew he was in the top four and her own chances of surviving would be improved if Austin was not in the mix. Which leads me to slightly believe that James may not have been game playing with his nomination of Austin. But only slightly. There is still something about him that I don't trust. I found his total lack of empathy for Austin when he came out of the diary room to be very cold.
