Bush dvd player refund at tesco?
Hi, i bought a Bush dvd player from a tesco extra store last june, and recently has decided to stop working altogether. The instrucitons say there is a 12 month warranty where i can take it back to where i purchased it for it to be fixed (if available) or a refund. I still have the recepit but not the box - do you think if i took it back after 11 months they would accept the dvd player back and give me a refund? And would I have to take it back to the same store, as i'm at uni and it would be a bit inconvinient for me...cheers

From what i understand you dont need to origanal packaging to take it back, if its faulty, although you may have to return it to the origanal store where you bought it from as thats where the contract of sale between you and the retailer was made.
the make a calim under the sale of goods act, you need a proof of purchase, and anything that came with the unit, ( remote control/scart lead etc) theres some inf on the sale of goods act and returing goods on the internet, try http://www.google.co.uk to find out more. |

I'd imagine if you took it back to any Tesco store (apart from the really small high-street ones) with your recept that they'd happily refund/replace/repair it.

All the Supermarkets do a 12 month no questions return policy as long as you have the receipt. Doesnt even have to be faulty although the mention of a minor fault will ease refund. Very handy if better technology comes along and you wanna upgrade. Cheaper than renting!

![]() i'd take it back to a tesco extra (a big one), because if you want a replacement system you can just pick it off the shelf
