In TV Times last week they described the live episode as 'highly anticipated'. Although that was probably just something to write.

Corrie has more to offer then just a live episode for viewers

Unlike Eastenders were they put all the effort into theirs and it was dull for months after

Exactly lol! But other than that, there really seems to be very little interest. Which is certainly telling, isn't it Stuart Blackburn!

I'm excited about the live. The thing is that the scenes don't even have to be that huge. It's just the fact that you know it's live and anything could happen which makes it exciting to watch. I'll be nervous for the cast tomorrow and I hope it goes well.

Coronation Street live could be a 'living NIGHTMARE' as Manchester United match threatens to disrupt filming

Its too far away from the set for it to have any impact. Besides Man United fans aren't very loud anyway

It was always going to find it hard to compete with the hype surrounding Eastenders earlier in the year. Plus viewers have now seen corrie go live on two other occasions and the Platts have has several stories like this so they are not providing the viewers with anything new.

My favourite bit in that story is that Barbara Knox fell 'ill' just before Sunday's rehearsal.

Pissed again?

Have you ever been to the theatre? There actors perform live every performance and for longer than half an hour. Theatre has been going for thousands of years. TV was only invented about 100 years ago.

I don't care about theatre. These are actors performing live when they aren't used to it. No audience to bounce off but millions watching at home. I care about the show and am hoping the actors pull it off. No need to patronise me thank you.

There has been very little hype, especially compared to the last one. But even if there was, nobody would care.

I see ITV are pulling out all the stops (social media, daytime telly etc) to muster up some interest. Reminds me at school, when teacher would beg you to come and listen to a guest speaker as nobody would turn up

Well said. I don't get this constant comparison to the theatre.
