Mass Effect: Andromeda
Either the search function isn't working or we don't have a thread for the upcoming latest instalment in the Mass Effect series.
Although not due until 2016, things are bound to start coming out now that BW have gone public with the game. See that Drew Karpyshyn's today confirmed that he's back at BW. Austin initially to work on TOR but it wouldn't surprise me to see him being utilised on ME again at some point. Great news in general to have Drew back at BW, especially after John Dombrow's return earlier in the year. There's also speculation that JD might be taking the lead writing role as well. That would be great IMO as he wrote some of the best parts of ME3, along with Patrick Weekes. From the trailer, the visuals look mighty impressive. My expectations around the story are also now going up.

Past threads used 4 rather than Andromeda.
http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1940474 http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2066062 ... although the search function can be iffy anyway. I'm looking forward to it... but I'm also wary. Still, it is good news that Drew is back. |

I would like a remastered Mass Effect Collection akin to the Unchated Collection as I've only played one of these and I forget which it was and don't think I got very far in it.
Make it happen !! |

Lol, I really don't understand how the search function works - after no hits for Mass Effect Andromeda I tried just Mass Effect and still only got a really old thread!
![]() Re a remaster, pretty sure BW have ruled that out.

Make it happen !! It's strange because some Bioware head honcho guy asked on neogaf what fans would like to see on a remaster. Why ask if you're not planning to do it? |

I would also like a remastered collection on the PS4, seems like a missed opportunity.

Unless I hear something about them royally screwing it up, ME:A is a definite day one, day off from work purchase.
Here's hoping there are no delays. As much as I love the franchise and even though I bought Halo: MCC & Handsome Collection and would buy an ME collection, we are going to have to move away from remasters soon. |

At least the original games will be backwards compatible on the XB1, which is better than nothing, but yeah, I'd have killed for a remastered set.
On a separate note - EA rule out remasters and poo-poo backwards compatibility on the grounds that they're only interested in pushing forward with new games. Bit rich, coming from the company that more than any other largely pumps out the same sh*t every 12 months..... |

Oh I agree, of course they'll continue, but there's no need to feed us a line of guff about wanting to be at the forefront of innovation as a token excuse for not doing something that they just can't be bothered to do.
Such a shame with EA, they were great once, before they disappeared up their own corporate backside, ie. When the bean counters finally won out over the developers. |

NPD or someone just released the top selling games for September and three of the top fours games on the list are sports games (NBA, Madden and FIFA) with NHL coming in ninth place.

Remasters are no biggie for me since I don't feel there's a big enough difference to graphics, and I wouldn't play the original trilogy again now anyway. Must have completed Mass Effect 1 half a dozen times and 2 or 3 times for the other two- that's enough
A complete remake in a few years time though? Hell yeah to that. If they polished up all the faults with the originals and massively improved the graphics, it'd be a great nostalgia trip to go back to. Right now though, I'm much more looking forward to a whole new game. |

I did notice a high definition mod for Mass Effect 1 for the PC, which looks interesting for any PC gamers who want to go through ME1 again. I think there's one for 2 as well. |

Yeah, no doubting there was for 3 as well, was just commenting on what I'd actually seen.
If they could bring this stuff to console versions as well it would breathe new life into the games IMO. |

The work that the modders put into ME3 was outstanding. From HD textures to reinstating dialogue and recruitment missions and altering the endgame, or at least the epilogue.
If they could bring this stuff to console versions as well it would breathe new life into the games IMO. All three games have something great they bring to the table. The character stories in 2 were brilliantly done and I sank a lot of time in to multiplayer in 3, I thought the combat system was one of the best in any game. Yeah, I think if this thread is anything to go by, there is a lot of interest in some HD remasters for the consoles. I think for me though, I'm just too hyped for Fallout 4 at the moment, that along with a few other big games coming out soon should tie me over until Andromeda! |

the xbox classics version offfered all the DLC were as the ps32 version offered most of the DLC apart from arival |
