Did they over egg the pudding with this Britain v USA theme

One American left who lives in Huddersfield .

You kind of wonder the whole point of it now.

Busey won they got their American winner and they should just left it at that with a token
American appearing

However they started pushing it with many American including Perez in the next one.

Then Perez made his impression and they thought they try and push it even further thus time with thus bizarre but ultimately pointless theme including wasting money on the likes of Janice Dickinson

Wonder if they will drop this now and go back to a token Americans in the show , or will they still find ways of keeping the numbers high

I think in the last week or so they've completely dropped it altogether if anything.

The theme is pointless and has really fallen flat. Nobody cares about UK v USA, not least the actual HM's. They want to win for themselves, not their country.

it was a pointless gimmick from the start, BB specialises in pointless gimmicks

It was a stupid idea.
It only served to exaggerate any feelings of xenophobia. BB is a series where you don't have to contrive drama.
It was also a ridiculous idea in terms of being a fair contest because BB was heavily weighted in support of the British housemates when it didn't need to be as the vast majority of voters are British.

The forced nationalism didn't take off.

Although I think Austin and Michelle Visage from the last series misjudged it and thought the British public would be more nationalistic. They thought being self proclaimed Anglophiles would win them votes, but I don't think that washed with the majority of people.

Yes, it has been completely pointless. BB isn't a team game. There is only one winner. If it was really UK against the USA the HMs would not have ever nominated anyone from their own 'team,'

Let's hope that in future CBBs (if there are any) we shall have all UK HMs. Surely the Americans have their own BB and I doubt if they have any UK contestants on it.
