Having been witness to a couple of occasions when one of my close family members had seizures as a result of illness, i never for a second assumed that what Janice had in the diary room was anything like a seizure. The rigidity and involuntary movement is very obvious and is quite different to what Janice presented in my eyes. I could well be wrong, but i can only draw from my own experience.
They would not have let her die, because although it would have no doubt boosted the ratings, they would have got sued. |

It is not either/or. The fact that Austin is a young male with obvious mental problems was not reprimanded for aggressively shouting at a 60 year confused old woman are all factors.
If you had any medical experience, you would of course know, it is impossible to correctly diagnose a condition without examining a patient. That cannot be done watching an edited TV show. |

You seem to be bandying around disparate diagnoses with wild abandon on here with no medical experience. That is as unedifying as it is unhelpful.

Good luck with your wish to see channel 5's licence revoked and all the best with any and all future psychiatric evaluations of people on TV shows. X |

This is not a court. I am simply a viewer observing his behaviour. I am not signing a form which empowers the police to commit him. Yes I think he has mental problems. Yes that is only my opinion.

Channel five dont force the celebrities on the show they know what they sign up for. If you dont like it then would you like us to buy you a remote to change the channel?
As for telling FMs to change channel, you''ve got your nerve. Some of us have watched the BB shows from the beginning and view the debasement of what was a great concept with despair. Ch 5 have taken this concept to its lowest possible level and destroyed it. The solution is not to change channels but to restore it to its former glory. |

If one believes that the tearful scene in the diary room was genuine then the fact that he quickly felt regret about his actions belies the suggestion of a pathological disorder. Some anger management coaching may not go amiss though or maybe bereavement counselling is more apt. |

Austin is most definitely not a psychopath. Come on, now. He has anger issues, of course. He is in the midst of a hardcore pressure cooker and everyone has a breaking point. He is human. Frankly, if I had to spend weeks with Janice, mentally addled or not (and I believe she is), then I might have gone off as well. Perhaps not to the same degree that he did, but yes. And that it the truth. "My truth" as Janice loves to reiterate again and again. And again.

Forgive me, but you clearly stated that he "obviously has mental problems". That is not an observation. It is an assertion. And one you are presumably - as you are "simply a viewer" - not qualified to make.
He OBVIOUSLY has behavioural problems (call it immaturity or temper tantrums or a struggle to cope with not getting his own way if you like) and in my opinion his inability even to comprehend why people behave the way they do shows evidence of psychopathy. It is his lack of understanding of other people's emotional states which I am commenting on - which is not the same as understanding them and ignoring or rejecting them because you are being selfish. It may be just a case of being selfish, but for a 27 year old to scream abuse at a 60 year old woman like that, and even the way he behaves with James, indicates to me that he has a problem. Psychopaths by the way are generally very charming people, they use that charm to get their own way, and struggle to give any significance (or even be aware of) others feelings. |

Watching morons (and the psychologically disturbed and/or impaired) shouting at each other over the washing up is not my idea of entertainment. This is a separate issue from the dumbing down (what is your favourite sexual position Chloe and Stevie? Please humiliate yourself sitting on a phallic shaped airplane for our amusement) but it is not unrelated. As I say watching Janice having a seizure is not my idea of where television entertainment ought to be going. It makes Jeremy Kyle look high minded. The fact that Austin did not even get a reprimand, never mind get removed from the house for his abusive behaviour, is symptomatic of a decline in what is deemed to be acceptable behaviour. |

I think at the point where the reprimand would have normally taken place, ie in the diary room where he was called while the incident was taking place, he was already reprimanding himself.

They don't force anyone on, that's true. But even the UK celebs don't in some ways don't truly understand what they're letting themselves in for. I'm sure this is presented to celebs as a simple contest, which implies actual rules, standards, fairness--an integrity of the process. But BB has no integrity. It's not a contest of skill, or even properly of popularity. It's basically someone signing away their rights, and then subjecting themselves and their image to massive manipulation--both of the overt and covert types. It's a license to allow yourself to be put into no-win situations, to be shacked up with mentally and emotionally unstable people, to be taunted and ganged up on on BOTS, to be subject to arbitrary rules that can and will be changed at any moment--and never with any true intention of finding an honest winner, but instead with the intention of whipping up a frenzy.
For our amusement. |

After this episode of BOTS can you imagine the level of celebrity taking part in the next CBB?
You can probably look forward to seeing your local postman appearing in the lineup on the next Celebrity BB. |
