Why was Jake Stone not called to give evidence?
Surely having Jake back up Max's story that he was helping Lucy after Jake got drunk would be essential. I don't remember anything being mentioned about why Jake wasn't the trial. I guess Jamie Lomas had other work commitments going on which is a shame as in always liked Jake and thought he showed real potential

I hadn't thiought about that, you're right it would have backed up Max's story about good Friday. Probably just that they couldn't get the actor back.

Maybe it was because he was way to drunk to remember.

Jake should never have been axed in the first place.

Seeing as how he was blind drunk he would not be considered a realiable witness. There is also the fact that he probably has a bias against Max.
Regardless, it was established Lucy didn't die in his apartment. |

Exactly!! Jake was decent but DTC just *had* to axe, probably because he was a Newman character.
I'm surprised how Denise hasn't had any suspicion on her. Nor have they shown her reaction to Max getting arrested. She was the last person to fight Lucy right before Bobby hit her over the head and Jane carried her off. |

Jake was already tried and found not guilty. (after bring jailed) easy explination would be he has no part in the trial as it wasn't he who killed her

because he was probably too drunk to remember anything that happened that night so would there actually be any point?

He'd had a black out and couldn't remember what happened in the flat so his testimony won't actually be of any significance and could potentially damage either the Prosecution or Defence so neither will want him there. |

Good points. I had forgotten about that other brutal murder that has been conveniently ignored - the axing of Jake Stone.
