Because what is associated with being tarty and naff on towie is associated with competitive ballroom dance in other contexts. It's like putting stage make up on - not something to be ashamed of or feel cheap about. When I'm back in the office with my competition tan still intact then yes, it does look a bit much but you look (and feel) weird and out of place in a competition without one.

Surprisingly I find it quite possible to like someone without posting about them 50 to 100 times a day, and also I can like someone without it meaning I need to hate anyone else.

Don't get me wrong, I can quite easily dislike people quite a lot, but it is not as a consequence of me liking someone else.

The other thing I can do, is know that not one thing I post on here is likely to change anyone else's mind about them liking or disliking someone, and not once have I ever thought, goodness I need to vote for so and so their fans would be so upset if they go out.
