New Album, New Deal, New Fleet of TV Looks Set to Dominate Q4

The long-awaited return of XL/Columbia’s Adele is slated for 11/20, and is naturally expected to have a seismic impact on the remainder of the year. Expect the leadoff single to drop in the first or second week of November.

The forthcoming album is the last on Adele’s Sony/XL deal; insiders say she has already inked a new worldwide deal with Sony, said to be valued at more than $50 million.

The British superstar has inked a lockout deal with NBC for four big TV looks, including The Today Show, SNL, a dedicated special and one more appearance TBA (possibly Fallon). The exclusive deal will not, however, prevent Adele from appearing on the 2016 Grammys.

Adele’s 2011 set 21 has sold 11.1 million copies (13.5m+ with TEA) in the U.S. thus far, and more than 30m worldwide.

Adele has worked with people like Max Martin, Danger Mouse, Ryan Tedder, Diane Warren, Sia, Emile Haynie, Phil Collins and Pharrel Williams since 2013 but it's not known how many of those will end up on this album. Nothing is known about the genre of music. All we know is that Adele has been happy, raising two-year-old son Angelo, with beau Simon Konecki. She hasn't released a single song since Bond theme Skyfall in 2012.

All of which is placed under a title that says RUMOR MILL on the article. Nothing at all officially confirmed.

By the way, Sia will release a new song tomorrow titled "Alive". It was written by her and Adele. It tells about Adele's life. It was scrapped from Adele's album but will be Sia's lead single. Well if she has been working with the likes of Max Martin and Pharrell (who have both worked with Britney, amongst others) then there might be some different music on the new album or it might be more varied. There might be some more upbeat songs. She is talented but all her songs are boring and they sound the same. Thankfully I haven't heard the dirge that is Someone Like You played for a long time.

Well she's been in a much happier place since giving birth so I'm sure there will be much less of the heartbreak songs and more cheerful uptempo types instead

HDD is releasing a bunch of very specific details on exclusive TV packages etc... They have insider info for sure. They would not go to print on it otherwise. It's like Sony tagged them to leak the details.
The exact date and title may change but it's happening soon.

Everything is pointing at that date, and it's not just coming from Hits Daily Double.
There is no other female from the UK or Europe can take Adele's on with sales and hype this year.

Leona's just flopped, Subo isn't releasing (got that From Sony's Preview), Enya is releasing on November the 20th, her 1st album in years.
