Why are people picking sides ?

All i am seeing is one side saying it is Aisleyne's fault and the other side saying it's Farrah's fault.

What we know so far is that Aisleyne threw a glass of Champagne at Farrah, then Farrah has reacted very negatively in some way.

So from that, how and why are people choosing sides ?

It's pretty obvious that they are both at fault here. It doesn't matter who started it, the reaction from the pair of them was out of order and nobody should be picking sides.

if Aisleyne hadnt been baiting farrah in the first place, (tweeting a few days ago she was going to throw champagne on her") snide comments and telling her to **** off home, then farrah wouldnt have quite rightly in the end told her to "be quiet hag" and then ash chose to throw the drink, starting the fight...but somehow farrah is to blame and equally responsible?

if i kept provoking someone and then they finally responded it and someone did get accidentalyhurt in the fracas, then its still the person who started its fault or it wouldnt have happened in the first place

There are no "facts" yet (yes she threw a drink and twittered twaddle)

But some people feel the need to align for some reason

Two wrongs never make a right as the OP states but the 3rd wrong in last nights equation were the producers who courted controversy at its most basic by having either of the imbeciles on the panel

Totally agree and the "side" and "team" stuff is very childish in general.

so the person that started is no more responsible for the fight or should take no more blame than the person defending themself against having the wine chucked at them?

Agree with both of you - particularly the bit in bold. In fact, I'd put that as the 1st rather than the third wrong.

This series has been bear-baiting from the beginning; a witch hunt.

I hope you wouldn't throw actual multiple glasses (which unlike liquid could seriously maim and injure).

It's the old 'he spat at me so I tried to knife him' response.

Anyone like this needs to get a serious grip imo.

where is there independant proof she did this? (and im not counting what Aisleyne has said because she would say that.).yesterday by all accounts on here, it was a chair, which has now morphed into a glass(!!)

Both are responsible, however it appears Farah is more responsible for the glassing which is the worse part.

It's in The Mirror I believe. The chair was Janice, but if we believe that she along with Vicki and Ash were asked to continue the panel, but were too upset, it must have been out of frustration and not at anyone.

If it's true that Farrah threw a glass at Aisleyne then the defending herself excuse goes out of the window. You don't throw a whole glass at someone as a reaction to someone throwing champagne at you. By chucking a glass, which resulted in someone else getting hurt, she has now made herself look as bad as Aisleyne. If you threw a glass at someone in a club after having champagne thrown at you, i guarantee the police wouldn't be taking your side, they would likely arrest the both of you.

Aisleyne started it i agree, but Farrah's reaction is not acceptable, which makes them both as bad as each other and no sides should be taken.

The real anger should be aimed at the BB production team that put them on the panel together. They were foolishly looking for a fight, and they got one.

The irony is that all these ladies claim to be 'strong women', as they offer no more than the cajolement of other women with their 'gangsta' vocabulary. Shame.

Yes, exactly. There's proportionate and disproportionate responses but, mainly, they're both as bad and should be embarrassed and ashamed, not supported.

Agreed patsylimerick

You expected and have witnessed bill and bens unacceptable behaviour on numerous occasions, the show producers should have made informed and responsible selections but they courted controversy as a rating boost.

It backfired

All this was rather inevitable wasn't it? In the first place the whole series was set up as UK v's USA - why? There can only ever be one winner - what was the point of that?

In the second place the production team appeared to source controversial, outspoken characters who have a reputation for very negative and unacceptable behaviour on TV.

Quite why we need 'nasty' characters I'm not sure - personally I'd rather not watch rows, screaming, shouting and confrontation night after night but there appears to be an appetite for it

And finally in order to up the ante even more BB seem to want to incite more confrontation and invite guests who they know will take it up a notch and antagonise.

Isn't BOTS supposed to be a bit of fun?

There was a sense of inevitability about the whole thing.

It's the production team who should be pulled up and called to account IMO.

Both Farrah and Aisleyne were simply acting up to the the roles that are expected of them - earning their crust - it simply gets more and more ugly and tawdry as it becomes necessary for each series to become more infamous and ugly than the last one.

It's time to stop it - surely? Lets go back to what was once a great format.
