well, I watched some of the GG clips on YouTube last night and they were great .....do we know who's done them ....... then I saw the Strictly Christmas special and had forgotten how good the previous celebrities were (apart from Alison), was very impressed with Cassidy's jive

have really enjoyed posting here and want to thank the Strictly person who found Giovanni and asked him to take part in the show as he (Gio) is now my favourite pro dancer

Thank you for the welcome I've watched Strictly on and off in the past but I was always more of an XF viewer (please don't shoot me!) But it's gotten so rubbish I switched to Strictly full time this year. I always liked Georgia in Corrie and absolutely loved her on Strictly.

You have (please don't hold anything against me, bit passionate about me soaps but I'm lovely really) and yes, a lot of us have been on the Emmerdale thread for many, many years. Everyone is familiar and very close so it's hard for new commers but everyone is very friendly.

I used 7 different email addresses to vote online and countless (dreading the bill) telephone votes for GG in the final. Very sad that they didn't win. I liked Jay (can't say the same about Kellie - not sure why. Just wasn't keen) but thought it would have meant more to Georgia and for Gio's first year - a win would have been amazing.

There's always trouble at New Year somewhere isn't there. Wasn't particularly looking forward to mine TBH. My Mum has memory problems and it's been a difficult year, but as it turned out we all had fun. She was kept entertained by Strictly dances on the ipad, favourites being Volare, Georgia on my mInd and Gleb and Anita's Frank Sinatra dance (AS?). She also liked Kellie and Kevins Fred & Ginger dance and the Blackpool ones- she loves Blackpool.

Then we watched BBC Scotland's Hogmany (Carol was in it- wooh!). The only worry was when she hung out of the window shouting 'Happy New Year ye miserable b*stards!' all because none of her neighbours were first footing, but we found it more funny than anything. Hope the neighbours did too.

Back now ready to watch Sherlock and other things I want to watch. Still missing my Strictly and GG fix, but there's always youtube. Hope you all had a good one.

Oh I think you're all a hoot on the Emmerdaily thread, really like reading it but I get a bit confused by the code names that are used for the characters (I get some of them but others are a bit confusing!)

We all tried our best to get the glitterball in the hands of Team GG but alas we were just outnumbers - those Jayfan's are a passionate bunch - not that we're not but there is a lot of them. But they've got nothing on the Star Wars fans on here - don't ever question something in one of those films and not expect to be corrected - nah they're lovely too

Happy New year everyone. I didn't get up until 2pm today which probably tells you how my new year's eve went.

I see Georgia's in Paris. How lovely. Just caught some EastEnders and Kellie looked so beautiful in the wedding dress. She had some really heavy scenes and looked like it must have been a very tight schedule so it's crazy to think that at the same time as filming all that she was also in the midst of Strictly so well done her. Hope she's having a well deserved break with her family.

I don't have any theories as such. Just find it odd that if with Sean, there's no photos. None from over Christmas either. And she often posted photos of the pair of them.

Aw it would have been so wonderful to have watched Georgia and Gio just melt into floods of tears if they'd won - well Georgia anyway, I can't really envision how Gio would have reacted - maybe standing there catching flies while Georgia made a soggy mess of his sleeve and shirt from crying??? I do wonder if they had won if Sean would have ran onto the dance floor - only because he seemed soooooo enthusiastic up until that point, but then if I remember right there were a few shots of him and then nothing about him since.

Anyhoo I just think their reaction would have been how I always think people should react to winning something they'd worked so hard for not all this cool and collected responses you see at like the Oscars. I want floods of tears, I want to see that it was genuinely wanted.

I've spent most of today catching up on sleep but then a lot of the evening rewatching the Strictly final for the first time since it first aired. I've rewatched Georgia's dances several times over the last week or so but I haven't sat through the whole show again until just now. Team GG's showdance is still so impressive to me but I have to admit I underestimated how amazing Kellie & Kevin's showdance was - I wrote it off as a bit too much, a bit messy, too Charleston-like, but I've changed my mind after seeing how difficult it would have been to perform - Kellie did a fantastic job.

Anyway back to Team GG and the main reason for posting... they were imo the best on the night but in particular they owned the second part of the final with the Charleston; they were untouchable. Len's comment about how they defined the 'Charleston' dance for everyone's future reference was for me spot on. I'm struggling to think of a Charleston in any of the seasons that was as memorable or that I loved more than Georgia's.

If she doesn't do it on tour I'll be disappointed... but tbh I'll probably just be happy to see any of their dances live...

I hope at some point in the future my obsession with Team GG fades because at the moment I'm still eagerly watching all the Youtube vids and dances practically every day... Maybe once real life starts to get back to normal after the Christmas/New Year bubble... Till then I think I'll just rewatch the Charleston once more time...
