Personally, I have no real opinions on people's (I don't know) private lives. Other than, I wish Georgia well, and Gio.. if indeed the paper is correct.. and they are together. I just hope the poor girl is ready for the backlash I'm sure this will bring

Well you can't help who you fall for. Just a shame for all three of them that it had to be played out on National TV Of course I feel sorry for Sean, but I think the feelings between Georgia and Giovanni were real and obvious. Lifes too short, they can't live their life to please others. The trolls will be out in force on twitter. Maybe better to happen now, and so it will have died down by tour time.

If as it seems they are together then all the very best to GG. I know it's got to be hard on Sean but we really don't know when or how they split and are unlikely to do so - it may well have been well before the final. I really hope they are not going to suffer too much of a backlash but I see it's kicking off on the MF. I sort of wish that they had got their own news out there and not given the tabloid editors their headlines. Maybe they will make some statement /gesture - or maybe Gio's Xmas tweet was the statement!
Who we fall in love with is not something we can control and GG have a real and rare connection that appears to have turned their strictly journey into a love story.

No surprise there, they'll all be dying to throw in their comments.. on a lighter note, at least they cant argue with us now as to which couple had the best chemistry togther It was so obvious to be G and G.It will be interesting looking back on their vids now, knowing for sure it was real.I strongly suspected it tbh in the last week or so.

On another lighter note...so many of us were saying their journey was like a fairytale...turns out it realy was!

Judging by events (the unfollowing of each other on social media before Christmas), all indicates that Georgia did broke up with Sean before Christmas and before going to Paris with Gio. I really don't want to be mean and horrible here, BUT Sean had also left Corrie and he seems to be out of work at the moment, so for him to have his face on national telly every Saturday, even if it was as the supporting boyfriend it wasn't a bad deal at all.

Hey guys. Can't say I'm surprised by this news at all. I do feel sorry for Sean but I have to say I think Georgia and Giovanni make a lovely couple and I hope they're very happy together. Relationships end, people move on - such is life. There was a definite chemistry between them which is why I think many of us held them as our favourites.

And watching that gorgeous American Smooth will be even more satisfying knowing that the fairytale romance has become a reality. Sorry - I'm a sucker for a love story

Yes they would! LOL Also I think I'm right in saying that Seans sister got married at new year (I was briefly a weird twitter stalker/investigator- I've stopped now) Was she supposed to have gone and pretended then too? That would have been totally wrong. My theory, that I mentioned some posts back is that they split some time around the semis finals and that Sean was kind enough/cared enough about her enough to go along with not saying anything for the sake of the competition.

TBH I can't help feeling that some fans of another couple, just a few mind you, are a leetle bit upset that it's not their couple who are together, because 'there was so much more chemistry between X and Y'. Um no, there wasn't...there really wasn't.

They don't understand that it wasn't a cunning plan she had instigated from the beginning and played the game to hurt Sean more....falling in love would have happened over time, there would be periods where she would be denying her feelings or convincing herself she could resist them. Giovanni would be going through the same and then of course there is aknowledging it to each other. Of course its messy and hurtful falling in love when you're already in a relationship, and its sad for the ones who are hurt, but this is more hurtful only because of the situation they were in when it happened and the publicity of it all, not because Georgia behaved particularly worse than most would in that situation.

It was such an intense time and personally I think their feelings were probably aknowledged by each other around the Blackpool/foxtrot week - immediately Georgia was sick and they had 2 days training for 2 dances and the whole pressure of that going on....its easier said than done about finishing it right away with Sean but when you're in amongst so much confusing feelings and intensity (never mind the pressures of being on SCD and the lack of time!) and it being played out to everyone publicly at the same time. She was probably still too confused to properly deal with splitting up with her boyfriend in the midst of that, never mind it may not necessarily have been kinder on him. Publicly being dumped while all the publicity was on the show...having him watch them dance on TV. Never mind the atmsosphere it would bring to the whole show. I'm sure she was thinking of Giovanni too and his wish to return (I don't think coniving to win the show was really her priority). Her mind was probably never properly clear to deal with such things at that time.

I don't think they probably realised things were really going to happen between them till the final and of course it was all a bit late.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say in my long winded way is that the split is inevitably going to be messy and hurtful but I think people can be too judgemental on how Georgia dealt with it at the time during the show - there was no easy answer.

It could be a romance that fizzles out, who knows, but she definitely looked like a girl in love on finals night and life is too short not to take your chances at happiness and if she felt it was the real thing..
I certainly saw the chemistry between them.

I think most of GG fans fell in love with their magic on the dancefloor and perhaps their feelings were part of that magic although we may not have known that at the time. I wish them well...and look foward to the tour Just hope the negative comments doesn't effect them too much and that Sean manages to deal with it too.

Just happened to see your comment Pretzel. I haven't noticed this general reaction on the thread and I wouldn't want GG fans to think this about JA supporters. J&A suffered quite a lot of speculation during the series and they did have a chemistry that intrigued people. I think G&G had a really strong chemistry too. I don't think there is a competitive comparison being made...I wouldn't envy G&G or J&A being a victim of attention like this.

Oh dear I spent one day away on the BB forum and this happens. I hope it ended amicably between her and Sean first. He does seem like a nice guy. And I don't want the press to slaughter Georgia like they do with Kristina. Why oh why does it always have to be the woman's fault!?

I don't Noone, that's why I said 'some fans'. Honestly, the vast majority of J&A fans and fans of the others are fine, but I was just making a comment about a few.

I defended Aliona and Jay in a thread when those pics came out and I'm on record as saying that there never was anything going on between them. Yes, of course they had a lovely dance chemistry and were obviously fond of one another but I never for one moment thought that that would mean Aliona would abandon her recent marriage. I suppose I just couldn't see t.

Pretzel, I'm glad you got my POV and we have mutual understanding. I just can't stand the tabloids and the way they make something so blameless as falling in to friendship or love seem so sordid and nasty.

I've got to say, and as you can imagine, I wasn't paying full attention to GG but did think they looked perfect together and had a smouldering rumba. It must be so difficult to spend almost every day with someone for so many weeks and not find connections. If you click on an emotional/attraction level it must be almost impossible to ignore.

Good luck to G&G. I really hope it works for them and they don't feel pressure from the media or trolling sheeple who fall for the tabloid negative spin.

Anyway, obviously The Sun paid him better.

me too, I don't know whether or not to post in the thread on the main forum all good publicity for Strictly, I suppose, anyway Georgia and Sean have only been seeing each other for seven months and, as you said earlier, she shouldn't stay with him if she developed feelings for Giovanni ..... actually I noticed a slight resemblance between Sean and Gio, can anyone else see it ..... obviously Gio is better looking though


I always thought they had chemistry but it was much more noticeable in the last few weeks, especially in their last interview, I think this will just be a fling but could be wrong as they'll be spending a lot of time together during the tour, so I wish them well however long it lasts.

They have incredible chemistry and I, like you Colin am confused by some people who claim they didn't or that this couple has more - it's not a chemistry competition - every couple in the show had chemistry of some sort and each differed. In fact the only couple's in SCD 2015 I thought had zero chemistry were Brendan and Kirsty and Ola and Iwan - all the others had some form of chemistry be it sexual, friendly, sibling-ly, teacher/mentor etc.

Good old Kristina - a woman constantly blamed because her dance partners couldn't always keep it in their trousers. I really do feel sorry for her, she gets all the stick while the men she just so happened to fall for - who were both in committed relationships - just carry on (well apart from Ben Cohen - his estranged/ex wife and her family like to keep talking about it don't they? & I'm sure with Kristina being on CBB they'll have some more to say very soon)

Whatever GG's relationship it doesn't change my opinion of them or how I viewed SCD2015 - why would it?? It doesn't directly effect my life! And lets not forget no-one knows the truth but the people involved and it is their decision on whether they share it or not. Plus who know's Sean may have dumped her, so all the anger etc being directed at them could be completely unnecessary.

Not at all VicsMum! We're all very grateful to you for braving it out on the MF. The accusations about G+G on the MF are unkind, unkind and above all completely unfounded - and people who post them deserve to be told so in no uncertain terms.

I've always though they fancied each other, it was obvious from the very beginning. Even in the match up sequence you can see Brendan (I think) gesturing to Giovanni when Georgia walks on and Giovanni trying not to laugh. Of course though in life many many people fancy each other and often nothing ever comes of it or they end up good friends after the initial attraction dies down. It's not a bad thing to fancy (I do it all the time) and this could easily have gone that way. No big deal.

Incidentally I also thought I caught a gleam from Kirsty to Gleb and we can all see how well that worked out for her Again, not suggesting anything impure would ever have gone on, but Kirsty definetly fancied him for her dance partner..oh yep. And we can all see how well that worked out for her. Bless, not a lot did work out for Kirsty on Strictly did it?

Agree - but sometimes there's no point in arguing with people who clearly don't want to listen and have already formed an opinion they are not willing to change or be challenged.
