It was mentioned briefly; Mel asked her what she'd got present-wise for her special day and Georgia said a few things and something from Giovanni (whilst emphatically patting his shoulder) but that was it - she said she'd perhaps like some 10's as well and that was about as much attention as her birthday got.
Craig, like I said, didn't even acknowledge her birthday when he flashed his 9 paddle, Len at least wished her a happy birthday as he gave his obligatory 10 and Bruno also gave her a 10 for both dances.
So the biggest disappointment of course is the fact that they were only third on the leaderboard after Jay and Aliona and Anita and Gleb who both got 29 for their first dances and 30 for their second. GG got 29 for both because of damn Craig's lack of a 10
”
Shame her birthday wasn't a big deal but I suppose people hadn't come for that reason.
Argghh now I want to know what Gio got her? Lol
I want to smack Craig with that 9 paddle! We KNOW her Charleston and AS are perfect!!

After their AS, there actually was another brief mention of her birthday but there wasn't anything notable other than Len saying happy birthday Georgia again as he gave her his score. They had a scripted conversation (Mel & GG that is) about how when they first danced the AS at Blackpool, Georgia was really emotional and she 'wept'... Mel then took a few moments to explain to Gio that wept is the past tense for 'weeping' and there was more banter about Gio's failure to understand some English phrases... I also remember during the judges's scores, a lovely moment when Georgia kept fiddling with her dress's ribbon and Giovanni lightly smacked her fingers to stop her from doing it and they both giggled - it was actually quite sweet and seemed more natural than anything else
Right I apologise if I've given too much away, I just need to empty my mind of everything, else I really won't be able to sleep tonight... It's my birthday today as well so I probably do need my beauty sleep when I wake up a year older - I certainly don't have the privilege of looking anything like Georgia when I wake up on my birthday!”
Thank you so much for your reports Debatable

So enjoy reading them, especially the little bits. Feels like I was there! And a very happy birthday too you!! Xx Sadly, not many people have the privilege of looking look Georgia, after waking up - team of make up artists couldn't make me look like her on a bad day!

The whole show is great, loved every minute. Make no mistake, GG are absolutely besotted and there was most definitely a kiss at the end of the AS! Perhaps you had to be in the right place to see it - I just managed to look at the big screen in time to get the close up! They kissed again at the end of a group dance (with Georgia in her yellow Belle dress) - two kisses in a row, looked pretty passionate! They also looked like they were having a great time throughout, as everyone did.
The AS was my favourite of their two dances, it is really beautiful, but I agree that the Charleston is less impactful than the TV version. The backing dancers don't help much. It's also the show opener (for the couples) so you don't really expect it to be the highlight of the evening. What can I say though, I still loved it and they danced it great!
As for the other dances, well it really is the Jay and Gleb show (note I didn't say Anita). Gleb in particular gets a lot of scripted time with Mel and their demo of the rampant crab together goes down a storm. Compared to those two, everyone else got polite applause. I don't think it's right to say that GG weren't well received by the crowd - they were, they just didn't bring the house down like Jay and Gleb.
Gio is very funny, his take on the Scouse accent (Mel asked which ones he'd encountered on his tour of the UK) drew plenty of laughs, it sounded like he was coughing something up! Ainsley was great too, his tango had me crying with laughter!
As for Georgia's birthday mention, she did get a lovely round of applause/cheers but I definitely got the impression she didn't want too much fuss made. She probably felt that audience had come to see Strictly Live and not her 'birthday party', and I think I'd feel the same in her shoes. I'm sure they all had a great celebration afterwards!”
Thank you so much for that report, Daisy. Thoroughly loved reading it! So very kind of you X

I've seen people on Twitter who have said they vote from the outside - they say it works. At the beginning numbers for all couples were flying around. Not that I think many do it nor that it would make one jot of difference to the result.
