LINES HAVE NOW CLOSED FOR THE FINAL TIME
It’s been thirteen weeks, 141 comparison scores a handful of squabbles, but finally it’s time to say goodbye to this series of Our Way (the first time I’ve finished one in December, you should be bloody honoured). On Saturday night, Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani were crowned the Strictly Come Dancing Champions, but both previous series have seen different Our Way Champions…are we about to see lightning strike for a third time?
I can now reveal that the couple in third place (yes, I actually reveal that here), with 25.62% of your votes, is…
KELLIE BRIGHT AND KEVIN CLIFTON
This probably isn’t the biggest shock to happen over the course of the series, given that they came fourth on your votes yesterday, but I can confirm that Kellie and Kevin were your third-placed couple. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you how this correlates to their actual finishing position given the BBC’s insistence to conceal 2nd/3rd finishing places to give two contestants a bite of the ‘runner up’ cherry. Usually this results in a couple of threads ‘out there’ about the tour yadda, yadda, but that seems to have been avoided for the most part this year.
Anyway…I’m getting sidetracked! Having looked at the stats for the series, in terms of Our Way scores, Kellie and Kevin were actually the third-placed couple there too so that’s a nice parallel except for the Kellie fans, of course.

Now, I would like to say a very sincere and heartfelt thanks to everybody who has voted, judged or even just stumbled across this thread by accident! I was in two minds about whether or not I’d bring this back for series thirteen as it is fairly time consuming, but I really have loved doing it. Although it perhaps lacked the controversy and shuffled leaderboards of the two previous series, I think it’s a nice little way to incorporate Strictly into our sub-forum.
There hasn’t been a round where I’ve had judges go AWOL and every round has had consideration and effort from all involved. I really have appreciated it. Thank you.

It has been a great series Izzie and thanks for letting me judge a couple of shows.
I was looking back at the 2014 Our Way and that series was hilarious just like this one and the original 2013 one, a genius idea to do this thing Izzie, I I machine it takes a lot of time and effort.
One thing I noticed this year compared to last year, by in large everyone WAS judging on THE ACTUAL DANCING!
Some of last year's comments and scores were questionable.
Another thing, every judge has either sent in their elimination decision or turned up on here to say who they'd save in the dance off on time compared to last year!
A final thing, the scores have been higher than last year for the most part.

Most of you've who've followed this in the past will possibly remember I usually end up, unintentionally, on hiatus over Christmas. Usually it means a long wait for the final, but this year the Christmas Special has taken the hit.
