If she hasn't been eating properly for a couple of weeks, it was probably something to stimulate her appetite. Why not phone your vet and ask them for the name of the drug? You could then google it, or ask again on here - I used to work for a vet so may recognise the name of the drug if you find out what its called.

You dont get receipts from the pdsa you just give an donation..

But vet said if she has not eaten anything within 24 hours i have to phone a bigger
PDSA and book her in for another scan on a bigger machine..

If it is a phantom pregnancy, it would be kinder to get her neutered , as she'll keep on getting them . Also as they get older, un neutered bitches are more likely to get infections of the womb.

Have a look at this, & I think it will convince you ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7o611VAiB0

Took dog zoe back to vets dłe to not eating gave her another scan said she has infected ovaries PYOMETRE so had to have emergancy op, i was told about all the pros and cons of the op, kidneys could fail. 90 minuets later they phoned me to say op went well, could i collect her immediatly as they need the threatre scrubed for morning surgery
The wound is only 3 inches and stitches come out in a week from today.
So the op saved her life. In 6 weeks she may have surgery again to remove some mamory gland cysts.

Your bitch needs spaying. Pyometra is an infection where the womb fills with pus. It can be life threatening if not caught in time, and there's two types. 'Open', where the cervix is open and the pus can drain, and 'closed' where the cervix remains closed effectively trapping the pus inside. Open Pyo is generally easier to spot and more common. Your girl was probably given the Alizin (mis-mate) injection as it's been shown that it expels the pus successfully in an open pyo. If you get you bitch spayed it will eliminate the chances of her getting Pyo again, as well as mammary cancers, seasons and false pregnancies, making life much easier and better for both of you.

Hi
Just to say that one injection vets sometimes give to 'perk up' a pet is B12.

Bugger, that'll teach me to post when I'm in a hurry. Sorry OP, I got mixed up and thought your vet had diagnosed Pyo and you were wondering what injection they gave her, not what they gave her the first time when they couldn't find anything. Obviously if they don't know it was Pyo to begin with it wouldn't have been Alizin she was given. Apologies for that.

Perhaps Galastop? Not sure if it can be injected, but generally galastop is used for phantom pregnancies.

She has had a hysterectomy according to vet they would not normally do it whilst her hormones are in full swing, but because it was an emergancy they had no option
So they told me her nipples are in milk.. but i have seen no evidence of this..and they also told me she has had an major op, and give her time to re-adjust
