Corrie can't do shocks and surprises

I am a fan and loved tonight's episode, but it has been obvious for weeks exactly what was going to happen. As soon as they began work on Gail's man hole, this was foreshadowing for tonight.

I can't remember a storyline in Coronation St where i've genuinely been shocked because i'd worked it out before, or that they themselves have leaked it.

Yes agree. Good acting but not a surprise

Well I certainly wasn't expecting Kylie to murder Callum. I thought it would be Jason or Tony so they certainly surprised me!

Corrie did well but it wasn't edge of your seat.

They killed him off early which I didn't expect. Nor did I think it would be Kylie, but expected he'd get killed by a woman as an act of self defence.

Good execution, but predictable.

I'll admit I was a bit disapointed when it turned out they were indeed dumping a dead callum under gails manhole as we suspected. Very well acted all round though and it was darker than I expected which I liked.

Yep. Good acting but bloody irritating throughout because they didn't ring the police.

I was hoping it would have been Tony and Todd to kill him as they are strong enough to keep the secret. I think the girls will eventually be consumed by guilt and will confess.if the girls go on to have more kids that will be their exit storyline.

The murder count is beyond a joke

I wasn't expecting Kylie to kill him but the main gist of it (Callum dying and being dumped in that hole) played out as expected.

It's a pity Tony wasn't more involved... he's become a really good character.

I knew it would be bad. Didn't give up my hopes after the lackluster minibus crash and flat fire.

So sad that a show I once loved has come to this. Hopefully it rises from the ashes.

Shhhh careful, the defenders who see this show as a flawless work of art will hound you.

They don't do surprises, but they do put on a flawless show. They put production first.

The take the same approach as any other episode, I can't see that as a bad thing.

You only got to look on twitter, lots disappointed at the lack of drama saying it could have been a a normal 30 min episodes and why kills Callum so early on in the ep, who cares about Lloyd etc. I think if you're a non reg corrie viewer tuning in you'd expect a bit more drama, maybe that's what they mean when you hear about a live ep.

Agreed. It was pretty much inevitable that Callum would die; it was just a matter of who would kill him.

To be fair, I didn't think it would be Kylie that dealt the killer blow.
