What a bad episode.

The plot was predictable. We all knew for months that Callum would die as Corrie love to kill off the baddies. So obvious. And we all knew he would be going into the manhole as they loved going on about it every damn episode. And what was with the comedy rug that apparently had Callum wrapped up in it? No way was that a body, come on can they not do better than that?

And what big stunt did they plan? Oh yeah, a random car explosion. Wow, that is sure going to win awards.

What else...

Oh yeah, Lloyd and Andrea the most boring couple of the street leaving. Big whoop.

Then again the whole story has been terrible so what did we expect?

RIP Corrie (1960-2015)

EastEnders are going to own Corrie at the British Soap Awards next year.

And please defenders keep your panties on, the show is doing bad.

What a ridiculous and silly post.

The acting was brilliant... I didn't see any mistakes unlike a certain other soap which cocked up earlier this year...

Ah yes, that old chestnut. I am guessing you are referring to that minor blip with "How's Adam". Yet the comedy rug that was meant to be Callum's corpse wasn't a mistake?

Yes some of it may have been quite predictable like the manhole etc, but it was overall a really good episode. The acting overall was brilliant, Jack, Tina and Paula were amazing.
The Roy and Cathy scenes were also nice and well acted.
The stuff with Lloyd and Andrea were nothing special, but decent enough.

Also got to say, the directing and filming work was brilliant. In the pub especially there were a lot of different shots and angles, and in such a small set with so many people that must have been hard to arrange without ever seeing any crew or equipment.

Yes it doesn't really compare to EE live as that had so much hype surrounding it, and featured a huge story which had been a major talking point for months, but it was still a good episode, especially for corrie at the minute.

There were a few mistakes and the plot was laughable or just meh but to say RIP to the show is a massive joke considering it is one of the most watched shows in the country.

I am stating the facts though. It wasn't good. I don't blame the actors, they had to work with a bad script.

How was it a mistake exactly? It was a body wrapped in a sheet.

I mean if we're going back even further...

Lets remember that Corrie has previously delivered another flawless live episode whilst Eastenders had the wonderful Scott Maslen destroying his lines and Jake Wood shoving his fingers down his throat whilst on camera. Oh dear.

A corpse was not in that carpet. It was clearly a fake.

It was a duvet cover. And yeah it looked like a body to me (was probably switched for a mannequin).

It was an excellent episode. I was very impressed. And it takes a lot to impress me.

Much, much, much better than I thought it would be.

11/10.

You'd already decided you were going to hate it before it aired in my view. It's a soap not a Hollywood film.

Brilliant acting and episode with no glaring mistakes unlike other, inferior, soaps

Only about 40% of it was good, the rest was boring. The roy/kathy scenes were such a bore, the liz scenes were annoying to watch. sally was poorly acting. the only good parts were tina obrien and jack and paula, but thats about it

Carla was just trying to steal screen time poking her beak into roys life even though she has no more position.

Corries acting was flawless but the plot was predictable. It was amazing watching the actors though. They did a great job with a poor script.

I don't know why there has to be such ridiculous one upmanship.

The actors on the soaps get along fine and praise each other

What would you have preferred? That they killed Sean Ward (Callum) for real, and left his body rolled up in a duvet cover?

Of course it was a bloody fake!!

An absolute fail of a thread... only one defENDER here and it's totally unnecessary. Quite possibly and award winning episode tonight with great performances from Tina O'Brien and Paula Lane.
