I think he did ok but it wasn't anywhere near as good as 2010 live or the eastenders live ones in my humble opinion.

The cast and crew did brilliantly.

I suppose some credit has to go to Blackburn too.

Not in my mind. The acting by most was sublime, and it needed to as the storylines were pretty awful. Demonstrates that there is infact a lot of talent in this cast that he hasn't properly utilised during his tenure.

The cast did well. The storylnes however were all poor.

Lloyd and Andrea leaving party
The Callum Saga
Sally and Tim break up

Not what I call exciting. I cannot wait for Blackburn to go.

I thought they were quite similar. Pub scenes and 'terror' scenes with the killed aggressor interspersed. Bit pedestrian but excellent production.

It seemed like a normal episode like their 50th. Do they use a different camera technique to EE as standard or do EE do more outside shots (therefore when it's live it's more noticeable??)

I thought it was mostly disjointed and awkward. Some good acting (David, Kylie) and some bizarre moments. The continuity was pretty poor, but it is in recorded episodes of Corrie as well.

Agreed with this. Way to predictable with what happened to Callum and to have it happen in the first 10 minutes of the episode seemed like it 'shot it's load to soon' for the lack of a better term.

You can write, organise and direct the next one then...

The acting was brilliant and it didn't feel like a live episode due to the acting but the plot was boring and predictable but well done the actors especially the actors who played the Platts.

Emmerdale live was done better, I think Blackburn played it safe tonight with Corrie. It was a good episode.

I agree with this post. He may not be the best producer in soap land but he isn't as bad as a lot of people make out.

No. The storylines were boringly predictable with no shocks or twists. The acting by most was excellent, but that is down to the actors capabilities and skills, The Hat can't take any credit for it.

The cast and crew did a great job with good acting but I was watching thinking this is a show that is not at it's best. I didn't enjoy Emmerdale under Blackburn and he ruined Corrie for me so I'm relieved that soon he will be gone. I want to see Corrie back to it's best.

Much better than EE's live episode, The acting was brilliant especially David Kylie and Sarah Lou. Very realistic scenes between Sarah & Callum, was shocked to see it was Kylie who had hit him, was not expecting that
