Corrie certainly didn't fail. Good, some very good, acting all round ( except Liz ), well paced, and good script even if you had guessed what was going to happen. And two episodes of Emmerdale which was, as ever, consistently good. I know there will be quite a few who didn't like one or both of these soaps but when you consider how much viewing time they provide week in week out I think they both deserve praise.

Definitely agree earthling. It's rare that I watch two hours of soaps these days and not mourn the time I've spent watching them but both Emmerdale and Corrie were fantastic tonight. Can it be ITV's birthday every week if it means we'll get the serials in decent quality?

i wood agree. I thought the live episode was very good.
