After her role in the live tonight will we see Eva back behind the bar of the rovers for good?

I hope so, let Liz fire Sarah and allow her to utilise to her skills elsewhere where she is more useful.

I know Sarah was somewhat preoccupied tonight but her constant skiving makes it seem like Tina McIntyre was diligent.

I agree, I think it would have made more sense to have Sarah in Alya's job at underworld or pursuing a fashion career of some sorts elsewhere in weatherfield (God forbid someone works away from the street ) and left the position at the rovers vacant for when Eva returned or a new character.

Yeah I agree, is Alya still going to that job at McNees? Or did she beg her job at underworld back? If not, there a vacancy there now which Sarah would do well to apply for, plus she'll be working with Aidan, and I think they'd make a good couple!

I don't think Sarah would last too long at the factory since she barely works at the Rovers and leaves the while she's on the clock, whenever she feels like. Carla would probably fire her ass after a week.

So true, hopefully Sarah will go to the factory soon!

To be fair, when you're in a job you're totally overqualified for, have no interest in and could basically take or leave, you generally do have that kind of attitude towards it. I think once she is doing something worthwhile where she feels valued, she'll be more committed.

She is lucky if that is the case, considering she just swanned off to France without a bye or leave.

But this is magic corrieland, where you can just walk out your job/get sacked and get it back.

Will she though? Remember when she first returned Bethany mentioned something about her skipping work to spend with a married soccer player or something.

Oh dear! Don’t remember that, but knowing the train wreck that Sarah returned as, it’s highly likely to be true. Let’s pretend it never happened and that evil uncle Steven fired her for no good reason and that really she’s a diligent and hard working career woman, single mother and all round superstar!

After her performance last night, I’m in awe of Tina O’Brien, she was definitely on par with the wonderful Paula Lane, who has carried many a big story......TPTB need to let Tina have a chance and give her character some serious direction.

They can't do that. Remember the fit everyone through when they decided to make Tim illiterate? If Kate Oates decided to ignore that scene she'd catch hell.

Good point. I guess the best we can hope for is to see Sarah completely revaluate her life after this incident and make some serious changes. We saw last night how her fear caused her to hold Bethany tight and promise nothing bad was going to happen, perhaps now she might take her role as a mother more seriously, be more of a provider and a role model rather than a mate to have a laugh with.

Imagine Sarah climbing the career ladder and being top of her game, having it all and loving life....when the cops come a knocking and implicate her in Callums disappearance / murder. #GUTTED

They need to get Eva back in behind the bar at the Rovers again. It's where she naturally belongs and didn't quite fit in at the factory.

I haven't seen the live episode yet we are about a week out from it in the US, so I haven't seen that scene. I do think its very realistic that Sarah and Bethany are more like sisters than mother and daughter. I also how far of the career ladder can she climb with in the confines of the street? It seems like being Carla's assistant is the brass ring on Corrie.

I think they should put her back in the Salon, have Audrey retire and have Sarah and David fight over who gets the salon.

Ah, well you're in for a treat then, Sarah is the star of the show.

Good point, I completely forgot Sarah was once in the salon so I imagine is technically a qualified hairdresser?! I'd quite like to see her take over and run the place with Maria, she needs a good friend, and they were once really close!

If I was a writer on Coronation Street, I would have Eva back with Jason, and working in The Rovers, and Sarah and Bethany go back to Milan.

I agree about Eva, I would put her back with Jason as I think they work together, have her as a barmaid at the Rovers again and maybe give them a child. I know as is soap law, the child is destined to be 'playing their tapes' for at least five years but I think fatherhood could be an interesting development for Jason, a character who has IMO been steadily and subtly developed and shaped by experiences over his years on the show well, without the need for sudden personality transplants.

I would keep Sarah and Bethany though, but utilize them better.

Why did Eva return to the street? She's not from Weatherfield and has no roots there. She was living in a flat with Jason and working at the factory but once she split up with him and left for France, that surely was her breaking all ties with the area.

Oh of course, I forgot that. Having said that, you'd still expect her to return to the area where she grew up, try and get a job and accommodation and then come up and visit Leanne. It's a bit awkward coming straight back to the place where she dumped her fiancé.

From whence did St Stella and Eva hail can anyone remember? Surely they weren't always in Weathy just round the corner from Leanne?!
