Standout from tonight's live ep?
Strangely for me it was Tina O'Brien's performance. It was a reminder of what the actress can do when given something dramatic to get her teeth into. I thought she did especially well during her showdown scenes with Callum and did a great Jon at conveying Sarah's fear, panic and guilt.

I liked that bit too. Tina & Sean just got stuck in & did it & it was very realistic looking.

Highly impressed with how authentic the fight felt- very natural and quite intense! This is the Tina O'Brien who shone during the early Noughties on Corrie and was instrumental in making the show unmissable with excellent storylines like Sarah's pregnancy, Billy's death and Todd coming out.

Roy was great. So was Cathy. She seemed very at ease throughout.

Yeah, David Nelson was as good as always, as was Melanie Hill- who I can normally take or leave.

Callum and Sarah were the best for me. Sean Ward and Tina O'Brien were absolutely great. Amazing acting, as good as on a film.

I thought that Tina O'Brien did a particularly fine job when she was in the Rovers afterwards and looked dazed and traumatised.

Tina O'Brien
Jack P Shepherd Paula Lane David Neilson My top 4 for superb acting last night. In fairness, they had the best scripts to work with and many of the others didn't have as much of a chance to show us what they can do, but regardless, the four above were outstanding. |

Tina O'Brien was excellent. I was surprised at just how good she was as she's been a bit of a let down since she came back. She was totally believable at being terrified. Paula Lane was good too but I thought Jack wasn't as good as the two girls. Roy and Cathy were totally at ease and their scenes didn't seem live at all. Anna was great as a drunk and she looked fabulous. The only one I found a bit ropey was Anthony Cotton and I'm not really a Sean hater - the others did really well. I enjoyed Todd and Tony stealing the car together. I thought overall the whole cast did really well even if we all knew exactly what was coming with the manhole. A bit of keeping storylines under wraps wouldn't go amiss.

Seems that O'Brien was the highlight for many last night. When the writing is right for her character, she can be great. Having her just be a simpering bimbo who hasn't matured in the slightest and is disloyal to her family was a terrible move. Let's hope this is the beginning of a redemption arc for Sarah.

Tina was amazing, much better than she has been lately, and Paula was brilliant as was Roy but Jack stood out the most for e. Always brilliant but raised the bar live.

I'm not particularly a big fan of Corrie (more of an EE fan) but I watched last night's live episode and Tina O'Brien was absolutely brilliant. I don't get the hate she (and the actress who plays Bethany) gets on here. Last night just goes to show that sometimes great actors can seem worse than they actually are due to poor writing. I think the actress who plays Bethany plays the part of a 15 year old extremely well despite clearly being a bit older in real life. It was a great decision bring the pair of them back.
