Why didn't Holmes tell Chlovie the REAL reason we think they're fake ?

For a start, that survey didn't ask why we thought a particular housemate was fake ... it just asked who was the most fake

Yet when Holmes disclosed that it was Stevie and Chloe Jasmine, he went on to say it was because Chloe never shed tears when she 'cried'

Bull

People have, indeed, noted that Chloe 'dry-cries' but the real reason viewers voted them most fake was because of their patently false 'love'

So why didn't Holmes even touch on that ?

I see: people think they're fake because they think they're fake. That's all "because of their patently false 'love'" really amounts to.

The supposed lack of tears was at least some kind of evidence.

Well 40% in an 8 - way vote is more than 'some people'

Do you disagree that the reason so many people think they are fake is because they do not believe the "I love you so much" act ?

Whoever decided (the producers or Eamon) to stir the pot by highlighting Chloe's crying as a chief cause was pretty malevolent IMO. She's clearly got some very real mental health issues and to make a person who's already struggling even more vulnerable was disgusting.

Chloe's tears certainly aren't one of the reasons I'd vote them fake. Apart from the weirdness of the relationship, as people I find Stevi far less authentic than her. In fact, I can't think of a single thing I like about the guy.

I agree with all of this, especially the bit in bold. I was so frustrated when Holmes explained it all away with her fake tears when we've been listing on here all of the other reasons. It just made her more on edge and vulnerable.

Stevi I like less and less each passing day. I didn't buy his humble call centre worker schtick on X Factor and I don't buy his 'nice guy' act on here either. And I hate how he heard the shout for 'Stevi to win'.

Me too and I didnt like him from the start, he's sneakier than the rest of them put together. I actually felt sorry for her when he was pawing her in the store room, she obviously cant stand the strain of pretending which makes her a more honest (better) person than him. I think Stevi is very sly. If I was Chloe's family I'd advise her strongly put an end to this fauxmance, she's not strong enough to be in the public eye in this way.

No it makes her worse! It's one thing to fake romance when they can both stand all the kissing and petting that might come with it, it's quite another to agree to it when it's making your flesh crawl! She would snuggle up to a slug if it gave her precious airtime and made her famous, which is all she has craved since she was a young teenager. That makes her much worse than him in my opinion. I can't stand him either, but don't let's paint her as some unwilling victim of a farce. Of the two I would say she has had the better education and would be the brains behind any fake romance, not him, he strikes me as his lift doesn't go all the way to the top floor.

She's definitely not that but on some level she has the decency to feel discomfort at the lie- or maybe as you say its just discomfort at him He, on the other hand has no bottom line and seems to be fine with doing anything and that Dartmouth tunnel remark along with his barnyard noises are just the cringiest, crassest thing ever.
I think his lift goes very much to the top floor in a sneaky kind of way, neither of them are particularly bright though, they'd be better actors if they were.

WTF? She's a 26 year old woman who chose to do this programme. If she's faking crying a lot for attention (which she is) she deserves to be called on it. If she doesn't like it she can just leave.

Indeed it isn't the dryness of her eyes that is causing me to doubt the veracity of the Clovie unit but the dryness of the kisses.

Both Fake, He could also have told them about leaving their mikes on in loo during fake BJ, or HJ, [ funny how everyone else has said they turn off, or take batteries out of mikes when using loo yet they have done it again]

I couldn't agree more! When he brought up the whole fake bit, I thought to myself, YES, finally! Someone will call them out on their ridiculous act! Alas, it was not meant to be. Frankly, it has become like an elephant in the room.

Completely agree (again Scarlet!).....however I do believe the cheesiness that is Stevi is the only true thing about him, and boy does he reek of cheese.

What annoyed me was that he was supposed to be in there to do a quiz, not explain the answers and give them all that outside information.

I think he was giving Chloe the least nasty (if that makes sense) reason, or the quickest reason he could think of. He shouldn't have said anything, isn't the idea of those quizes to just do the q&a and let them stew over what and why? Not give them all the potential reasons people outside may or may not have voted for them as the most/least anything.

Kerplunk. *Sound of a penny dropping*

God I must be getting slow in my old age. Twice this series they have broadcast excerpts in which housemates have discussed switching microphones off or removing batteries when they do their ablutions. The clips seemed entirely incidental and it isn't until now I put two and two together.

Nearly all the HMs take out their batteries or cover their mics when they go to the loo. Either, HMs have said, to protect their own modesty or to spare the blushes of the production team. They have shared that behaviour yet Stevie and Chloe haven't picked up on it in order to make 'having sexual relations' more private.

Wasn't Stevie part of the conversation about No2s last night? What did he say he did? I know one of them said they didn't care and was amused to let the production team hear their evacuations, but I think that may have been Austin.

I was hoping Austin would blurt it out during a rant but alas it didnt happen.

I buy that Chloe & Stevi are in a relationship. It is a relationship based on their mutual need for adulation & fame & has nothing to do with romance or love. The fake Stevi "Ooo Chlo.........aaah oooo, yes" BS is sickening & it's good to see Chloe has enough integrity to not pretend that the dual toilet visits are anything more than another part of their fake act.

If Eamon had said anything more about their relationship then I believe the strain on Chloe would have been too much. I'm no expert, but I have plenty of knowledge & experience of mental health issues. While both she & Stevi have a need to be loved by the general public, I feel Chloe's needs could be better dealt with by a good counsellor. Stevi seems to wants adulation because it's a way of making easy money & rather than being a happy go lucky kinda guy, all I see is a slimy sleaze ball. His behaviour on last night's show when telling Chloe he wanted to sleep in "Bobz" bed & saying he wanted a week away from her, was horrible. It was deliberately hurtful on the night Janice left & said it would seem for no reason than because he apparently felt edgy. More likely it is because after Eamon's comments, he has realised the relationship plan has failed & was probably blaming it on Chloe's faux crying. Sorry mate but the vast majority of viewers realised the fakery from the start.

I was 't aware of the questionnaire or public poll so did assume it was Chloe's tearless crying that people had suggested. It seemed daft and nasty to her particularly when it is clear that it is their unbelievable relationship that makes them look false. So Holmes took it upon himself to damage Chloe alone and damage her in Stevi's eyes I couldn't help but notice Stevi was particularly spiteful to Chloe later that day and evening, it felt like he was distancing himself from the relationship. Until he remembered he couldn't win without her and it was all sweetness and light again

Good post, makes a lot of sense.

I felt very uncomfortable with the way he spoke to her last night, and the night before - eviction night after Janice had left - when she was saying she felt left out and fancied having a drink (live feed probably), she went out into the garden in a bit of a state and Stevie had to be told (I think by Natasha) to go after her as he was just sat there gormlessly whilst she struggled. He finally grabs his glass of wine (couldn't help but laugh at that) and goes after her reluctantly.
