He was good, i thought ED was overall better than Corrie last night. Ryan Hawley was superb as usual.

He was awful when Katie died but i can't deny he has been brilliant these last two episodes.

I love scenes with Robert and Andy, very credible, (not them beating the crap out of each other), when they talk about things that happened when they were young, or mention their dad etc.
I thought the night they were in the jeep when Andy was going to kill himself, and Robert stopped him, was superb acting, by both. |

I think Kelvin's very good when he's given emotional, quiet stuff to do. I thought he was brilliant when he was depressed after Katie died, and he was going to kill himself.
I love scenes between Andy and Robert as well, they work brilliantly together, and it's a real reminder of the show's history (even with a recast Robert). |

He was amazing last night, he doesn't get the credit he deserves.

I agree, Kelvin and Ryan have been very good in the last few episodes. Ryan, in particular, has come on leaps and bounds since he started. I also liked the way some of the scenes were shot such as Andy sitting on the sofa, looking off camera and verbally working things out, whilst Robert stood in the background. Good scenes don't have to be loud and confrontational and other soaps could learn a lot from ED.

I think Ryan Hawley's failed attempts to cry made Kelvin Fletcher look better than he normally is.

I thought they were both good, but I felt Andy's pain more than I felt Robert's, for that reason. Plus Rob was just feeling sorry for himself, as usual - don't think he gives much of a damn for Katie really - or even for Andy either. |

Got to say, I agree. I really like Ryan Hawley, he's great as Robert, but he honestly can't cry for toffees.

Of course he doesn't just wanted to make Andy feel sorry for him. Or forgive him.
But on the whole I agree with the OP - Kelvin Fletcher was good last night. |

I thought Ryan Hawley was awful last night tbh. The crying was cringe worthy. Kelvin Fletcher was better but it annoyed me how he kept saying "He's killed my Katie".

Like i say all the time, crying isn't easy and very few actors master it. I don't think Ryan should be classed as awful because of the poor crying. Otherwise we might as well slate Meryl streep because she can't cry well either

Kelvin was fantastic last night, best I’ve seen from him in ages, but the ‘my Katie’ line being repeated over and over again was cringe central. I’d prefer to have heard him say ‘my wife’ or just ‘Katie’. |

Not a tear in sight. Maybe Aaron cries for two.

I wouldn't write him off at all - he can be amazing in the manipulative scenes. But let's just say last night wasn't one of his better nights.
Not a tear in sight. Maybe Aaron cries for two. ![]() but robert in the interrogation room is utter genius, effortless, masterful, on point, seductive... ED should give ryan a bonus for that scene alone... ![]()
