18185 ends untimed 5p UK calls
Sadly, indirect access company 18185 (and 18866 and 1899) no longer offer UK calls of unlimited duration for just the 5p connection fee. They now charge 0.5p per minute in addition.
That will catch out everyone who doesn't have the automatic announcement switched on ! ![]() Oh well, it was good while it lasted. |

That is a shame. It was a hell of a deal. Still is I suppose when you compare it to the main landline providers call prices.

It’s still not bad really.
It’s still only going to cost 35p for a 1 hour call calling 01 02 and 03 numbers. |

40% Price Rise
From today, calls to UK landlines now cost 0.7p per minute, up from 0.5p per minute.
There's also the connection fee (which had become 4.5p, contrary to what the website said). |

Still not bad, but if they keep edging the price up........
They're probably losing a lot of custom (for UK calls at least) due to almost everyone having massive amounts of mobile minutes. |

43% Price Rise
Calls to UK landlines have increased yet again, they're now 1p per minute plus the connection charge.
![]() Other rates have also increased, e.g. calling USA landlines is now 2p per minute, four times the rate it was not so long ago. Curiously, calling USA landlines from sister company 1899 is 1.5p/minute and calling USA mobiles from 18185 is 0.5p/min |
