CS - the fight scene
I think that will go down in Corrie history and will be discussed quite a lot. It will be like when William Roache choked Anne Kirkbride for real during the Mike Baldwin storyline back in 1983 and has been brought up quite a bit in clip shows and specials.
I can see in many years time when Tina O'Brien is still in the show and doing an interview talking about the experience on the set, alongside Sean Ward. The pair of them did a good job, especially as it was live and it can only be one take. |

I thought it was a good scene too - well acted by both of them.

Me three.
It looked and felt disturbing. I forgot it was live too. Brilliant stuff. |

It was the best scene of the episode. Sean & Tina must have agreed to just go for it which they did really well. I bet they have some bruises after it though

There was an 'Inside' show on ITV2 at ten o clock
last night, where Tina showed Stephen Mulhearn the bruises on her arms, covered with flesh tinted make up. He was incredulous that she had actually been bruised, but as she pointed out that they had been rehearsing the episode for two weeks in advance! |

They did it brilliantly to make it look as if they really were fighting. |

Not only the superb and realistic fight scene but the blow to the head and the weapon in the background, and slow (intense!) pan up to Kylie holding it. If this scene wasn't live it would still be fantastic; the fact the scene was live only adds to its marvellousness. |

It was a really good scene. I was surprised, especially since Sean Ward's acting has been largely appalling, but both actors were terrific in that scene.

I was saying a while ago that I saw a scene in a Danish show called The Legacy where one of the main characters strangled his sister to death, it was the most real and horrifying scene I'd ever witnessed and I was screaming at the TV, I'd never seen something so real happen to characters I was so invested in. Until last night, how the hell they got that so spot on in a live show is unreal, I can only commend all involved, I was literally mouth open stunned that a soap would play that out so violently and so realistically,
I have been praying for Sarah's return for years and until last night was disgusted that her character had been treated so appallingly by the writers, but my God she came back with a vengeance and I really hope this is a turning point for the character, Tina O'Brian was up there with Paula Lane last night. Bravo to all of them. |

I was impressed at how real they made it look - so real that it looked like Callum was really hurting Sarah, really yanking her hair etc. In fact, he must have been quite rough with her in real life! I guess they decided to really 'go for it' on the night! |

It was brutally brilliant. At one point I thought Callum was going to break Sarah's neck.

Tina really did herself proud in the whole episode - Sarah was always one of my favourite characters but I was so disappointed with her return. I think she completely turned it around last night and hope the writers keep it up

I have to agree. The whole fight scene followed up by the blow that Callum received, the reaction from Sarah and the slow panning of the camera (it was only seconds but felt like longer) to reveal a horrified Kylie. Add to that the fact that they pulled it off live and you've got a classic scene. Dare I say an iconic scene. The outstanding moment of Blackburn's time in charge without doubt. I won't ever forget that scene. Right up there with "You should've stayed at the party Maxine".

That was an extremely good, realistic fight scene, which for once was worthy of one of those ITV 'violence' warnings. Certainly the best violent scene in the past year or two of Corrie, much better than the usual safe 'mustn't scare the poor delicate little viewers' cop out that's normally done. Sarah did amazing, but surprisingly so did CampCallum, that was the one and only time he genuinely managed to be scary. Gone was the mincing laughable wannabe hardman who you couldn't take seriously, as he suddenly gave the impression that he was actually deadly serious and wasn't someone to be messed with. Huge well done to both of them

Found it quite shocking and was surprised at how much they went for it. Tina was my highlight of the show - she played it brilliantly and showed what she is capable of - I was always a fan of her first stint and have also been disappointed with what they have given her this time around.
