On the meagre evidence of the one show I watched Natasha would have been my winner too.

I've no idea how Sherrie and Davro were throughout the series but they both came across well in their interviews imo.

I watched them and disagree with you and with Emma.”

Well it's not unusual for us to differ on things I loved him.

Or Katie Hopkins finishing second. A sad reflection on the BB viewership.

I didn't like any of the final six (except Sheri and Chloe). So not bothered who won. Knew it would be James though. He totally played it to the hilt.

Austin was one of my most couldn't stand hms along with Bobby Davro very early on and I posted a thread to say so.

Afraid to say, I didn't change my mind on either of them towards the end. Total narcassists .....James too.

Haha, tbh from what I've seen ( a bit of the launch night LF, a couple of online clips, one full HL show and some of the Jenna/Janice eviction night and tonight's final) I wish I'd stuck to my original plan of not bothering with the series at all. What I did see annoyed the hell out of me. I'm pleased other people enjoyed it though, it's just not for me anymore - I need to be a bit more resolute in trying to fully kick the BB habit. Giving up smoking was easier.

You gave up smoking Respect

I actually thought it was a pretty good series, not one of the best but decent and way above the last celeb and last 2 civilian ones. Austin certainly hit a bum note with his tirade against Janice but he's apologised again and again and Janice has accepted it so it seems time to move on I'd say. Besides he provided laughs and some charming moments

2nd place was very good. He was the last American standing too.

Personally I was dreading a nice/low contributor winning ie Nat, Bobby or sherrie. But I have to say they had great interviews and Natasha was enjoyable on the LF.

But for me it's all about entertainment and if they're decent people with it then even better.

James and Austin were key players this series, and good people two so I'm happy they finished top two.

Wll this has released some anti-male anti-American crap on here

Well done Austin. Glad you have won!

I'm amazed he came second, he should have been chucked out for the Janice abuse and subsequent absurd tantrum , Farrah should have been turfed out too.

I hope this trend for uberaggressive idiots doesn't continue. I started to watch BB in the Summer but that Marc creature and the return of Brian Belo, Nikki gremlin, Aisleyne and Helen all put me off and I stopped watching.

Not anti male or anti American as I loved Gary Busey. I just loathe mysogonists. Austin really hates women.

I really didn't find Austin loathsome, yes he was a bit gobby and his rant at Janice was OTT. However taking into account the house environment and that Janice herself was hardly a saint throughout the show.
I found him quite charismatic and funny, I think the fact when Janice left she had nothing but praise for him rebuilt some of the damage following his melt down. But you could see it coming after the James conversation about friends and nomination it was a culmination of things. I also felt he was genuinely remorseful of his actions and open and honest about his personal circumstances which made him relatable to people and you could see his vulnerabilities.
James however I just find something really disengenuis about the guy. It's interesting that he even commented about his lack of friends and being a bit of a loner in life. Don't get me wrong I didn't dislike him or think he shouldn't have won I just don't find him quite a cold calculating person. Out of all the housemates I found him to be the most self aware that he was on TVs being recorded 24/7. He was very conscious of how he put things across and what he said the entire time a bit like he thought everything through and rehearsed it.

Yes, Sherrie and Davro were good too, I wouldn't have minded either of them winning.

More the voters, not the viewers.

That's a very important point. I never vote, though I watch the nonsense religiously Only a certain proportion vote and many of them multi-vote. So the winner is THEIR judgement only.

On Austin, I started out really, really disliking him. He was the main instigator of the first night conflict and much of what came afterwards and he certainly does seem to have issues with women. I also found the hair shaving, memorial service and rant about Chloe's disrespect fairly self-serving and nauseating.

I did soften a little towards him at the end but only because of the way James treated him. I think Austin's affections for James were genuine; whereas I think James affections are all genuine - they're just all for himself.

I haven't voted now for a couple of years and then only weakened and voted for Ashleigh against Helen.

I disliked Austin more at the end really after his horrible rant at Janice, I'm not a big fan of Janice by the way, but the things he said to her were just unacceptable.

I think you are right about James, he played a fairly clean game but I wouldn't want him to be my mate

He played an absolute blinder; which I suppose merits the win. I'm kind of getting used to not liking the winners!

I think he deserved it. First runner up is nothing to sneeze at. He was one of the few housemates who remained true to himself. Yes, warts and all.

A fair point, however as I recall Hopkins enjoyed significant support on this forum and beyond.
