Ha ha! I'm getting carried away with this bromance between two gorgeous men! I never said Austin cheated - I think somebody else said that further up this thread. I just found them to be flirty & have great chemistry, that's all.

So you're speaking for the small minority then. Glad we have cleared that up

Birds of a feather flock together (just in seperate beds)

Your experience is yours and yours only. To believe that those parameters are the default for all other men is naive and silly. It might be the most common attitude, but that's another matter entirely.

Anyway what about the lovely, warm and full of chemistry (Chloe + Stevi take note) hug and kiss after Austin's interview? Oh and in his interview on BOTS when Austin confirmed he's still married and that he is a monogamous relationship.

Just about everything else is being played out in people's prurient minds ”

Trevor I couldn't even tell you what is being played out in my mind when I think of Austin

I saw a friendship too, but I really do think that Austin (at times) got a little ahead of himself in possibly seeing it as more than that. I'm not saying he was predatory or clingy or anything like that before I'm accused of have some other agenda. I think he might possibly be more romantic than James and may get confused between Platonic intimacy and those first flushes of new love.

Time will tell anyway.

Flirting is fab! I even flirt with my husband sometimes, when he's not getting on my nerves

I wouldn't expect you to understand. Call it personal experience. Whatever. You have an understanding of what's expected and where the lines are drawn / what makes others uncomfortable in certain situations. That was the reality of my experience having spent a fair amount of time in the company of other males. The rules were not exclusive to any one individual and reading between the lines i'm pretty sure we were all of the same opinion.

Sure, but that is amongst your social network - it's to be expected that you're likely to share similar opinions and boundaries because like minds tend to hang around with like minds. That doesn't mean however that it's the default setting across the entire world of manhood. Especially for someone so avowedly metrosexual as James.

Yes, in YOUR experience. But the same does not apply to everyone. There are no set rules. What would make one uncomfortable in a given situation has no bearing on how another would feel. It doesn't mean all men would feel the same or that any protesting otherwise are lying.

Odd that the murder bit is always left out, isn't it? . Austin's facial expression and tone of voice doesn't seem to matter either. People try to make it what they want it to be.

While it's unfair to apply it to EVERY straight man, obviously; I get where coke_pepper is coming from. I can't think of one of my male single friends/family members/colleagues who would look for or enjoy skin to skin contact with another male. It's fairly common round these parts too!

I could quite as boldly state that in my experience all heterosexual men are incredibly comfortable with each other physically and are happy to hug, be tactile and share beds. Because the men i know are like that, men from all walks of life.

There's nothing wrong with relating to situations by using your own personal experiences. Okay, it can become somewhat limiting in every scenario, but it's all opinion anyway.

I don't believe he said it as a joke at all, i don't thin k it's the sort of thing you would say as a joke is it?

Where did you get all that from? When Jenna asked Austin if his husband would be mad with him if he s.....d someone else, Austin said he didn't think so but that he'd never do that. We don't know what type of marriage they have.

one of the times James said he was going to sleep on his own Austin went after him, dragged him back to his bed and threw him onto it.

Just a friend eh, i don't think so.

Of course there isn't ... we all do it but most with a more open mind.
To claim :

Quote:
“Being tucked up in a bed with another man with the heat / naked skin / smell for night after night is just not a pleasant environment and any straight man that tells you otherwise is lying.”

... is a pretty closed minded statement and assumption to make.

Well thank goodness for that - Ditto. I think people who are happy in their own skin and in their own sexuality do not have a problem with physically contact with any gender.

Don't want you to think I run the Austin Fan club - however once again Hicky - it was a joke - bit of fun - having a laugh

Ah, well that's the good thing about a forum. It can be a great place to share experiences and help open that mind.
