Indeed. Its weird when being a nice guy or trying to be a nice guy is something to be criticised for.

In her exit interview on the beginning of BBBOTS ( before it kicked off) Jenna was criticising James for trying to be a better person/acting like the better person. The camera cut to Farrah nodding in agreement.

I thought the fact that these two saw trying to be a better person as something to be critical of was very telling. Isn't learning to behave like and become a better person what we all aspire to be and what we try to raise our children to be?

Give me fake and nice over authentic and nasty any day.

So i'm confused here. Why don't you think he deserve to win? You said if it had been a stronger line-up he wouldn't have won but it wasn't a stronger line-up. This was the line-up. So based on the people who were in there, did he deserve to win?

Whether he deserved to win or not is irrelevant, the fact is he did win.

He did more than Katie Price ever did.

She saved us from a Hopkins win. For that alone she should be knighted

Me too An

I can only assume this attitude stems from this baffling new agey 'Keeping it real' generation. I remember Farrah excusing her behaviour on many occasions by being 'real'. A real nasty piece of work yes. Yet this excuse seems to deem it acceptable more often than not nowadays and is applauded and celebrated. Anyone who dares to be anything else is just fake

I wanted Austin, James and Janice so two outta three ain't bad.

Tho ugh I feel Daniel and scoop had more to offer, and farrah deserved to be evicted by the public not the hms!!!!!

I think a vote to save was the right voting system this series.”

Agree re Daniel. Shame he went so soon.

The best i can say for the lad is his performance was authentic enough..In a way he deserves it too, i mean "bait and placate" is a tough game plan to stick to so cudos for his dedication to his aims.

On the down side, ample use of passive aggression, something btw the brits excel at versus the Americans who stick to straight up aggression, he's managed to gain enough votes for himself and manufacture enough disapproval for others to take the title. Has he done the UK proud? you decide

First winner since Busey that I haven't minded. That's about as affirmative as it gets for me.

I think it's sad that we cannot all just accept that James is a nice guy with flaws, but on the whole he is a good soul.

Spending weeks in a goldfish bowl is bound to highlight features and flaws, but you cannot fake a whole personality for that length of time.

So yes he deserved to win.

But what if we didn't think he was a nice guy? I thought he was laughably sanctimonious and smug pretty much all the time. That's not any kind of nice I've ever come across.

Boring. In love with himself. Showbiz Ho. His bromance with Austin was like watching paint dry.

Romances on these shows sometimes fail dramatically with the public - but this one was different, in their view.

So is James in the closet? Halfway out? Or simply Ho'ing himself for fame? You Decide!

I may be stating the obvious somewhat, but every type of personality gets slated on here, to the point where it can sometimes get a bit hypocritical. Too nasty=disliked, too nice=disliked, too entertaining=disliked, too boring=disliked. Fair enough, most of the time people are just stating their opinions. Sometimes, however, it feels as if certain people look to find problems with certain housemates that aren't necessarily there and can't be proved or disproved either way e.g "he/she's fake", "he/she's playing a game". Normally, it feels like housemates who are the forum favourite, for whatever reason, get attacked by some for seemingly minor offences, blown out of all proportion,

And for the record, this isn't really in regards to James, but a lot of housemates over the years whose main crime seems to have been being inoffensive.

Seeming unoffensive whilst offending is a great tactic. It gives you positive airtime and your opponents negative airtime. Why would this tactic not be considered in a game show like BB? That's not to say it can't be attributed incorrectly to a house-mate though.

Chloe (BB16 winner) was seen as false - incorrectly imo. However in this case, the accumulation of "minor offenses" point clearly to James having a pattern of behaviour that isn't only his personality in action, but tactics too.
