Week 3 is Movie Week
Quote:
Lights, camera, action! Tonight Hollywood Glamour will take over the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom as the class of 2015 tackle tracks from classic films in our Movie Week special. The first couple left the competition last weekend and now the celebrities and their professional dance partners are really feeling the pressure because there will be no second takes tonight. This week, the 14 dancing duos will be performing routines inspired by some of the greatest films of all time. Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the remaining couples must impress the awesome foursome of Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood in a bid to stay in the competition. The judges will score each performance out of 10 before the vote lines open so viewers at home can have their say. Sadly, another couple have to leave the competition on Sunday night’s results show and no one wants to wrap their Strictly experience. Quote:
Last night, the movies came to Strictly Come Dancing and the celebrity dancers and their professional partners gave their best Hollywood-inspired performances. http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/pro...15/41/strictlyTonight, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman host the Results Show as the 14 remaining couples await their fate. The public votes will be added to the judges’ scores, leaving the two couples with the lowest combined scores to face each other in the dreaded dance off. The judges will then have to decide who to save and who to send home. There will also be a very special musical performance of a class movie song from the renowned Andrea Bocelli and viewers at home will get to look through Len's Lens once again to put Saturday night’s performances under the microscope. http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/pro...rictly-results |

What I'd personally like to see is a cha cha to stuck in the middle with you by stealers wheel where the couple re-enact the ear dismemberment scene from reservoir dogs in dance form but we'll probably get some disney mary poppins chim chim cheree shit, right?
Joking aside, movie week is not bad as themes go in my opinion. Better that than "round the world" week which was just a bit baffling. Movie OR musicals week and halloween - that's enough themes isnt it. |

At least there's no guest judge this time
I always like the Movie/Musicals weeks, although last year's was a real drag until about half way through the show.

I have been suggesting on the songs thread that they would very likely use the following for a rumba on Movie Week this year if they did it as a theme:
Ellie Goulding Love Me Like You Do as its from Fifty Shades of Grey. |

Film Week, surely as we live in the UK? Doesn't sound as glitzy, though. Quote:
Depends who it is! Darcey was great, Donny not so great.

Just a thought for Movie Week has any one ever danced to Will Smith's Men In Black theme tune as they dance with the aliens from the film in the video.

Please note that the post above is only intended to be in referance to the film as I don not wish to offend anyone.

Have I missed something?
![]() Why would you ask someone to support one of the Strictly couples "for you"? |

As they decided to focus on Anthony's name for his first-dance pun, I wouldn't be surprised to see Anthony doing an 'Eye of the Tiger' Paso for Movie Week.
