If they have indeed bumped off Charlie - as the binned wallet and soiled clothes that had been fresh on implied - then I think that will rank as moronic and implausible a storyline as the baby swap one. That made me stop watching, when I'd watched the show from the start, and I only got dragged back into it again towards the end of last year.
Charlie being bumped off may have me reaching for the off switch once more. |

I think he's still alive. Vincent will have given him a beating and forced him to do a runner.

I thought the treatment of Declan Bennett was truly disgusting i can no longer stand Ronnie's character, Charlie had potential pairing him with Ronnie (the black widow) and the Mitchell's was suicide. The whole Roxy affair was tosh utter tripe way to ruin a character DTC. Point is i used to like Ronnie back in the day more so than Roxy which is saying something that i now prefer Roxy and i don't like her. Quote:
Or Halloween. 'Ello Grandma.
Just a shame really. potential wasted for the bloody Mitchell's again. also i frickin hate Rincent/Roncent/Vinnie/Vonnie what ever the cool kids make up these days! I wish they would just let it be him and Kim. |

If indeed they have bumped him off, I'd love to know how they disposed of his body in broad daylight in the middle of a busy square!!! He can't be dead surely. I agree I think we'll see a surprise return around Christmas.............as Ronnie is sharing a romantic moment with vincent or something and thinking her world is finally complete he'll sneak in and steal matthew

I am still wondering about another theory though it's probably unlikely. What if Vincent let Charlie go and Dean actually killed him off screen in a fit of jealousy over Roxy? Maybe those red herrings were used as reverse psychology to lead us to believe he's been kept alive. So it might be a twist but not the kind we're predicting.
Dean is listed for tonight's episode (he's also in the cast list for Monday and Tuesday). If he's in any lengthy scenes we could see his body language, or if there's any bloodied clothing at his place. Or we may see it emerging in later episodes. Look at how he said "good riddance" when Ronnie mentioned that he left. He clearly doesn't like him. In the Metro write up for the autumn storylines, it said that Roxy would see his darker side coming out. So perhaps it will be revealed that he killed Charlie. If I'm jumping the gun too much, perhaps it suggests that he'll rape again. Honestly, they should've brought Ronnie back last year not 2013) and paired Charlie with Stacey Slater. |

Charlie and Stacey yeah i would have liked that instead of Martin, to me they just don't mesh although i so don't want her with Kush, also i hope Martin isn't gonna be the end of the Stacey character cause he's too boring for her she needs a man man, don't let her fall off the radar in to boring = axed.

I'm not buying it and I shall remain in denial until Charlie Cotton's corpse rocks up in Les Coker's funeral parlour.
Fair enough if Declan Bennett wanted to leave, but to axe the character at a time he seemed to be pretty popular, and was also part of a popular coupling with Ronnie at that time as well, is just too odd. |

The other theory is that Vincent pretended to kill Charlie so they can work together to ate down the Mitchell's?
Either that or Vincent must've squirted the tomato sauce on himself in the cafe & needed to wash his shirt... |

That's the only way i will take to Vincent again now if he is playing Veronica and planning a Mitchell take down.

Fingers crossed that Vincent is playing Ronnie. Sadly no EE exec will ever let them bring down Phil.

Is the question I always ask myself. They have sacrificed so many good characters to keep him the king - there must be a reason. ![]() ![]()

^It would be interesting if Dan Sullivan was brought back...same last name as Gavin. Potentially Sharon's half-brother. Won't be that much of a retcon anyway as Dan never had any family around the Square.

When they knocked at your door, did the door go "dush dush dush"
I think Eastenders has the habit of going from the sublime to the ridiculous back to the sublime. Yesterdays episode was busy busy busy with several "dush dush dush" moments, The appearance of Charlie: dush dush dush. The appearance of Vincent & Ronnie in the hallway: dush dush dush. The disappearance of Charlie: dush dush dish. The court room scene with Jane: dush dush dush. Maybe I missed a few out. |

Dan Sullivan, Johnny Allen, Vincent, others etc...
Johnny Allen let him get away with forcing a scumbag to take his daughter's virginity, and was reduced to wearing a fluffy pink jumper when Mitchell manhandled him and is dead. Vincent hit him once and then got a humiliating scene in the Arches after a brutal beating shortly afterwards. How are any of these victories for the above characters? |
