Worth reiterating that the Saturday show is on a bit earlier than in previous years in order to avoid the England rugby match.

With that public service reminder out of the way, as with last year who's dancing on which night hasn't been confirmed, but we do have dances and songs as ever:

Just out of interest, does anyone know if they pick the order people are dancing in after they see the rehearsals, or is it all decided much earlier than that?

I think the absolute final order is based on the Thursday rehearsal, although they'll probably have a rough order worked out from training before then, but don't quote me on that.

IIRC, in week 1 of 2011 they swapped the days Alex and Holly were dancing on having already decided the order (originally Alex had been down for Friday and Holly Saturday) and that was on the Thursday or Wednesday.

I hope Daniel O'Donnell has the Charleston, he should do it in a Mrs doubtfire costume, he has the same voice.

that would totally EPIC for me

Just watching BBC1 now, and the continuity announcer mentioned
Spoiler
about tonight's show; didn't outright say they were dancing tonight but it would be an odd thing to say if they weren't.

It's also been mentioned on another thread that
Spoiler
is on tonight.

Leaving work now, nice and early to ensure no train disasters can prevent me getting home by 9.

Will pop by Waitrose to pick up suitable Strictly Snacks and Beverages.

Phone on silent.

Feet up.

Fab.

Anyone know why they didn't try to make the nights as balanced as possible (I.e 7 tonight and 8 tomorrow)?

Don't quote me on this, but IIRC in 2010/11 they were struggling to get through 7 in one hour on the Friday show and cut it back to 6. Now Bruce has gone they could probably change it back but for whatever reason it's stuck.

It might also have something to do with the Friday show being less watched than Saturday.

Tomorrow night's show is 90 minutes long, whereas tonight it is only 60 minutes!

As has been said, they had a great deal of trouble trying to fit seven couples in one hour when they used to do that - they can just about manage six.

Having seen Daniel on the behind The scenes clip I think he looks pretty good. His posture is good and he looks comfortable.

We see six couples dancing there - Kirsty, Helen, Ainsley, Daniel, Peter and Katie - I wonder if they are tonight's six?

Can you remember Julian Clary's Jive to that song in Series 2?

It was terrible!

Which year did they do seven couples in one hour?

Good evening everyone! So excited for this.

It's actually my Dads birthday today, and my Mum decided to do sandwhiches amd hings and invite everyone round. I was worried they were going to stay late(priorities!!), but they all left about 5 minutes ago.
