Agree with you that housemate shouldn't be judged for there past but as said when you do reality shows people will do

No one asked for his 'title' (such as it is) to be taken away though .
Seems the majority of voters wanted this upstanding person as their winner . They got him and I wish them joy of him .

James has two criminal convictions for violence and was very fortunate he received suspended sentences instead of being sent to prison.

If it hasn't been mentioned Josie Gibson stole the hearts of an entire nation. Not sure if she was convicted but I consider her a criminal if no one else will.

I find the two stories rather hard to reconcile with the rather sweet and thoughtful young man in the CBB house.”

Did you see him in the Apprentice . Not a very likeable character and one who had a big problem working with women .

Yes love we all know this. We knew this last year on The Apprentice. But a criminal conviction does not a person define.

And it certainly looks like James has moved on and grown and developed from this. So maybe we should too.

It was no secret, it happened 6 years ago, he learnt, he got help. Then it was brought up during his time in The Apprentice and then when on BB.

I'm happy that he has learnt. I wanted him to win, and that's it.

I bet you can look at anyone and look back in their teen years and something bad will turn up. All the Hollywood actors, I can guarantee 90% of them had pasts like these, driving offences... people grow up.

He won despite people knowing about his past, just like Paddy. Not everyone holds something against people.

Completely agree. In fact he demonstrated a high level of thoughtfulness and self control in the house. He has come far, and I laud him for that.

Perhaps I misunderstood you in your post #50? I thought you were suggesting that the court may have got it wrong.

Wholeheartedly agree with this post. Is it conceivable that some posters on this forum also have skeletons in their closets?
