I think the psychologist is on hand at all times if the HM's feel the need to speak to him. I actually think in the early series they all used to have a few sessions with the psych - it was part of the deal.

They are, housemates have been rejected in the past based on the say so of a psychologist. Though based on recent years you wouldn't think they saw one.

In that case, they need to spend a little more money and get a decent psychologist!
Back in the day, all the housemates saw the house psychologist from time to time - Brett Kahr I believe his name was. In BB1, Caroline had nightly chats with him in the diary room.
