1. Anita surprised me in a good way.
2. Carol surprised me in a bad way.
3. Anthony's arm will be his downfall, can you imagine him doing a paso, salsa or even Charleston (never mind the ballroom hold)
4. Helen was very enchanting tonight, and her dancing was also quite nice
5. Daniel did better then I thought he would, mind you even I could have handled that speed (as non-dancer; not as in age as I'm much younger and probably have more strength).

Poor Gordana really made an impact it seems

LOL

But I knew Gordana and Trent were married but did the show ever point that out, like tonight?

1) Really liked Helen, thought she came across really well.
2) I was disappointed in the song choices
3) Anthony was better than I thought he would be, not a great jive but he has potential. Although if his shoulder does not improve it really will hinder him.
4) Carol looked great and her dress was gorgeous, it wasn't a great Cha cha cha but I hope she's around for a little while.
5) I likes Gleb better than the launch show and I thought he showcased his partner well without over-dancing etc (looking at you there Kevin)!

1. Oti and Anthony are cute, they have chemistry. I hope they stick around for a few weeks. I think she will crack him into shape.
2. Kevin's choreography sucks.
3.Anita seems to be type A personality and will give it her best, I thought her dance was great and I hope people don't get put off by her competitiveness.
4. Apart from split pants, thought wardrobe looks fabydabbydoodah!
5. I still have girl crush on Claude!

1. Daniel talked, danced, and listened to judge's feedback with all the emotion of a fridge-freezer

2. Anthony occasionally threw out his legs in quite a peculiar way but he was quite good

3. Anita's mother is a woman of stern disposition of whom I'm already quite scared

4. I can only imagine what Monkseal thought about Tess' links

5. I can only imagine what the producers have up their sleeve for song choices next week....

3 I didn't think Carol was too bad – better than Judy or Gregg's cha chas last year for sure

4 I thought Daniel's waltz was sweet and liked him a lot better than I expected – I hope I'm right in that he seemed to be a good mover and his Latin will be ok – wonder why Kristina didn't lower his frame – oh well, maybe she tried – would have been even better then

Gleb and his wife were in procedure of a nasty, nasty seperation...that almost ended in divorce 2 years ago...I mean it was awful ..she left with their daughter and went to Russia. He lost his job on dwts as a pro and Troupe member....she was calling him ALL kinds of names on social media. .he deleted all his social media as a result at that time. ....apparently he cheated on her with one of their common friends. ..I remember the whole debacle like it was yesterday. ....

Then at least 1 year ago, she got a job as a judge on the Russian version ...he got the job there as a pro ( came 2nd last season )....now they are seemingly living " happily after, "...

Still not buying it. ..especially after everything that happened. ...coming back to Strictly I think that given All their very recent marital issues. ...her introduction was VERY deliberate.

Btw I'm not condoning Gleb and his infidelity but I didn't like how his wife dealt with the whole thing. ....her messiness on social media; relocating with their daugther all the way to Russia because she was mad at him ?

Okay I'll stop now

1. Daniel is the most inert man in the world. Wait till he does a Latin dance.
2. Carol was ok until she started moving.
3. Helen was predictably very good.
4. Anita was better than I thought. She doesn't have a lot to chuck about though.
5 Kellie seemed good, but was doing an actors posing dance.
6. Anthony was flapping about in a demented Michael Vaughn style. His sore arm hampered him as well.

Totally agree. She kept looking at him when they were listening to the judges' comments and he never looked at her once and I'm sure he wasn't standing with his arm around her like couples usually do. It was the same with the Claudia interview. Maybe he's shy but I don't think so.

1. Whoever is making Tess do those Brucie like links needs to stop. She hasn't got the ability to carry them off, just embarrassing.
2. Scoring was ridiculously high, there will probably be a 10 tonight.
3. Props
4. Liking Anita
5. Can't wait to see Daniel's Latin

1. I personally thought the show was great - there was a really good mix of dancing, the scoring was mostly sensible, and everyone looked like they were having a blast. I loved it.
2. Kellie's Tango was great, but the whole 60s theme did get in the way at the beginning, not to mention Kevin's 'groovy' nodding to the camera half-way through, which was just sheer cringe-inducing. Overall, though, her dance was a good way to start the series.
3. Anthony definitely got the short end of the stick with his scores, I thought. His routine wasn't the best, but I enjoyed it and thought 21 was a bit harsh. By contrast, Daniel was slightly overmarked in my eyes; a pleasant surprise on the whole, yes, but no way was he three marks better than Anthony. I'd have had both around the 23 mark.
4. Helen's Waltz was gorgeous, and she showed bags of potential already, but the eight was a bit generous. It was quite wobbly in places, and there was some noticeable gapping. But she's still one of my favourites so far, along with Kellie and (surprisingly) Anita, who impressed me a lot with her Cha Cha.
5. Pasha being lowered down as a giant thundercloud to the sound of cheesy disco 70s music will remain etched in my brain for years to come. Oh, and as for Carol's Cha Cha... just LOL. She seems very sweet though.

1. People whinging about the scoring got old in about 2005.
2. Anita was great.
3. Carol was not as bad as I thought.
4. Daniel has the charisma of roadkill.
5. I felt sorry for poor Joanne stood alone in the tower.

I think Craig and Bruno were very harsh if you look back at these opening dances from years past. I was totally expecting 18 or 19 of 40, but never a 2 - and a total of 16. That's a joke. She actually did dance a fair bit and showed rhythm - albeit did fluff a few moments.

I know it isn't much of an improvement really, and she still definitely was the weakest of the night, but anyhow, thoughts?”

It is what it is, you cannot compare scores even week to week, let alone year to year. If you compare all the 40s or 39s, the standards of the dances vary greatly. It depends on that weeks scoring, moods of the judges and little things like atmosphere and a lot of other things, so it is really hard to compare to other dances, it's just one score on one night.

1. Anita Rani - good dancer yeah she surprised me.

2. Kevin outdances his celeb partner

3. Daniel has no personality or emotion, is he on drugs or something

4. Carol - I Like her on the weather, but she's certainly no good dancer, we had also a weathergirl on our Dancing with the Stars back in the Netherlands, her name Helga van Leur and she won our dancing. but Carol ain't gonna win.

5. Anthony was not bad, but the song is just too fast to keep up with the timing.

------------------------------- my hopes for tonight

1. i hope Peter Andre doesn't look in the camera too much but he's a media-diva

2. i hope to see a Fun and Cheeky Jive from Georgia&Giovanni, i don't look at technical stuff too much for week 1.

3. i hope Jeremy doesn't look to awkward ( but it's gonna happen).

4. and a good Jive for Katie&Anton

5. Ainsley doing a proper Tango

Carol tried hard , bless

The judges bore me now , same old same old

1. I seriously hope Kevin did not pick that song for his & Kellie's Tango - he did what he kinda had to do choreography-wise, but it was not the dramatic Tango that I had hoped for Kellie (that was before I knew what the song was btw)

2. Anthony was undermarked - considering how bad his arm was (Oti did a good job of trying to hide it I thought), his footwork was actually quite decent, even with the unpointed feet. For some odd reason - and I'm not sure why - his dancing kinda reminds me of Mark Wright last year with all the funky stuff.

3. Helen - the long hair does not suit. Waltz with Aljaz, all I could see was his and Abbey's Waltz from 2013. She looked good but I did notice that she did the 'ballet feet' a few times!

4. Putting Carol and Daniel together here - Carol was a hot mess (but that entrance by Pasha is so going to be made into a GIF); Daniel was a pleasant surprise, and props to Kristina as the choreo worked for him (I must admit though, the face he pulled during that, I did wonder if he'd had too much Botox......)

5. Anita - kinda regretting my decision to bet on her as first out as she was great. Gleb I'm not so keen on and I don't get the fawning that Tess & Claude have done - Artem was better looking! (And I say that as someone who wasn't a fan of Arty.......)

You're in danger of entering reverse psychology realms here. I like Georgia, and hope she does well, but you can't expect everyone to back her; I'd hate for her to fall on her face, but I'll be backing Katie, Anita, Jay, Ainsley and maybe Anthony before her.

1.) Had a hunch about Anita after her being paired with the new Artem and her amazing promo shot. She lived up to expectations can't wait to see more from her.
2.)Absolutely loving Oti and her choreography was ace, i'm a bit bemused as to why Anthony was allowed to compete in the show with such an injury that he can't use it at all. How is he going to cope with ballroom frame? Even so I thought their Jive was underscored
3.)Kevin gets on my nerves, too much faffing and showboating. With a proper song and style Kellie could have pushed for 30+ score wise.
4.)Daniel surprised me with his level of technique but let's just wait for the latin....
5.)Carol was way worse than I ever expected her to be

i don't expect everyone to back her, and know about reverse psychology,

please forgive me, if i bother you too much.

it's just that last year i didn't support Pixie enough, and she was eliminated, and i'm from the Netherlands, i can't vote, that's why i'm trying the best i can to gain support for her.

but yes i like Anita, Ainsley, Helen and Georgia.

i only like sweet, down to earth, funny people.

i would never like Peter Andre with his ego

Will you still support her though if she ends up messing up her routines? Personality can only get you so far.

please don't say that. Nina

okay, there is a chance she messes up her routines, but i believe in her determination.

and Giovanni is probably a good teacher, he said on his twitter that he's ready for the Jive and Georgia's also ready for the Jive.

have faith Nina, i want to remain friendly towards you, so let me support Georgia.

Take Care and enjoy tonight's show

1. Darceys dress made my mouth water
2. Anthony is surprisingly light on his feet and did well with the dreaded Jive.
3. Forget Rachel being a fembot, Daniel must surely overtake her now. He epitimizes the phase 'the lights are on but no-one is home'. I find it bafflingly that hes sustained such longevity in his career
4. Gleb doesn't do much for me, i'd rather have lovely Pasha or Alijaz. Oti is completely and utterly stunning.
5. The wardrobe department did a sterling job keeping Carols boobs under control. Carols smile reminds me of an old fashioned ventriloquists dummy
