OMG - could only manage 5 mins before hitting the mute. Please can somebody at the BBC turn her mike down & remind her that the show is NOT about her.

Didn't take long for the haters to show.

She did mess up after the first dance, when she forgot to ask Darcy for her comments.

If you know who had done that it would have been because of his age.

Same, she reached Brucie levels of embarrassing behaviour tonight. To be perving over Gleb when Darcey was talking, just STF up. She should have spent the summer break going to presenter school.

I think she does well.

I didn't like her dress, it looked like a baked tomato! She is stunning with a beauitful figure and lovely and tall and the wardrobe still fail to make her look good, a lot of effort must go into it as she would look good in most things, yet they pick out the very worst.

Have to agree. She's not normally that annoying but tonight she kept wittering on. Some of the judges looked a little irritated too.

She has shocking posture for an ex-model. The belt looked lopsided because she was standing with a bent leg. When she did stand straight it looked much better.

I couldn't believe she messed up by unintentionally missing Darcy's vote

Also her and Claudia leching over Gleb was embarassing...

Poor Sir Bruce was a regular victim of ageism, if he had made Tess's mistakes it would have been front page news sadly.

Bruce regularly made mistakes and missed out judges, and It wasn't front page news.

Not bothered about the first point. She could miss Darcy out every week and it wouldn't bother me. Come to that, she could have a total memory lapse and miss out the entire panel and I'd be perfectly happy.

Second does annoy me. If a male presenter behaved even slightly lecherously it would be considered unnacceptable. "You are lucky to be dancing with such an exciting, talented dancer", would be a more suitable compliment.

To be fair to wardrobe, I don't think they can be held responsible for Tess' awful dress-sense. I think she has said she has a stylist and someone brings her a few dresses to choose from and she picks one herself, so she only has herself to blame.

Completely agree, but most of the women on the show do it. Anita goes on about how she's dancing with this 'hot' man with little consideration for her husband's feelings, whereas if a male contestant went on about dancing with a hot female dancer everyone would think he was being a lech and disrespectful to his wife.

When there are still a lot of contestants left on the live shows, one judge is regularly not asked for their comments because of time restraints. I don't think it was Brucie missing them out. However, Tess really did miss out Darcey last night!

I don't mind the odd mistake, it's the utter drivel she spouts that i object to. Pun overdrive last night, not to mention they're on their feet etc. She certainly hit the ground running.

She's the most useless presenter on TV. But its part of the charm of the show for me. Yes she's shit - but we all know it and have still watched for 11 years.

I think the fact that Claudia is naturally witty and can think on her feet shows Tess up even more. They obviously have to write every little thing down for her and it simply doesn't work when she has no comic timing. The talking over the judges drives me mad as well. Still we are stuck with her so thank goodness for the mute button!

I don't find her to be a problem whatsoever and frankly wonder what you lot are always moaning about, she seems fine.

Can't see what all the hate is about? She does her job very well and one mistake can surely be put down to first-night nerves? She works well with Claudia, doesn't patronise the celebs ( yes Bruce, I'm looking at you! ) and, now she's made up with wardrobe, looks great

IMO they should get rid of Tess & have Claudia & Zoe presenting the show

Zoe did well when she'd replaced Claudia for those few weeks

Wow. Took exactly one show before the 'get rid of Tess' threads started.

Beats me why everyone cares so damn much. It's a soddin mindless entertainment show on a Saturday night (or Friday the first week). It's really not worth all the complaining.

This is one of the reasons I don't frequent these boards as often any more. All the 'complain, complain, complain, moan, moan, moan' threads are so tiresome and exhausting.

It takes all the joy out of watching TV shows when you are aware of this kind of thing going on.

Awful dress, awful posture, awful voice. Put Claudia in the prime spot I say! Wait now for the howl of disagreement!

I know bruv. Them haterz is the worst. Ya get me?

Tess is one of the worst presenters on national TV, but I'm kind of used to her now.

they were on Allen Carr last night and Claudia was miles ahead of her and was definitely the star of the interview.

I like Tess. She's a part of the Strictly furniture.
