Maybe a 'dances and songs' thread would be useful - open the thread at the regular time so we can add any dances that have been confirmed on the show/over the weekend/on Monday's ITT, then post the songs in the same thread (perhaps in spoilers in case anyone wants to know just the dances and not the songs). It'd probably mean less clutter on the main page too.

I feel it's rough on Jeremy and Carol that they've got to do AS rather than waltz for their first ballrooms. I was hoping for a nice gentle 'father of the bride' waltz from Jeremy that would keep him in, and something sweet for Carol too, and I hope I'm wrong but I feel with the AS they'll have to do the whole 'Fred and Ginger' thing and Jeremy is more likely to look gangly and Carol more likely to look heavy-footed than they would in a waltz. Seems a shame.

AS has more comedy potential for Jeremy, so is probably a better bet for his staying in than a waltz (I'm still not sure whether or not he'll be able to secure the 'comedy' vote or not).

We always have separate threads for week 2 dances and songs in the past, I dont know why it should change now

Usually in the week x...thread, we start to speculate about what dance each couple may have , debate how each couple may fare (given that the weekend before some of these dances are announced ) .....and in the other thread, we speculate about the songs, how pros would choreograph....it always lead to very interesting/different conversations.....why merge the 2 ? we always have separate threads for the most part for these 2 in the past.

Merging the 2 imo would just make the thread way too long....I personally prefer it as it has always been....separate.

Anyways, I cant wait to see Daniel do the Charleston .....

BIB I concur. On the bright side, at least it is not the foxtrot. I feel like those dances should be left for later in the competition but hey.....shrug.
