I was wondering what are peoples favorite burger combinations. For me it would have to be bacon and cheese.

When it comes to burgers I like things to be as simple as possible. Cheese and/or bacon are usually acceptable but I'm not into these modern quirky toppings. Beetroot on a burger? No thanks.

Goats cheese and crispy bacon

Hmm.. beef, onion, tomato, cheese, lettuce.. and I wonder if all the gherkins from all the burgers sold in the UK were stuck in the Gherkin, how many floors would they fill? Not being a fan of gherkins, this should be tried.

Problem with some burgers, especially gucciburgers is there's so much stuff jammed in them they become impossible to eat easily.

cheese, bacon, pineapple and an onion ring! cant have that as a double tho, for obvious reasons!
I used to work at the best takeaway for cheesy chips in our town and can honeslty say i cant understand why people would put mozzerela on chips ever. orange cheddar all the way. my best combo was: chips, salt pepper and vinegar then garlic butter on top of that pineapple chunks and tomato. then the cheese. then chilli sauce (it was temperature hot) so it would all fuse together. eat with a pitta bread, amazing!!!

Medium rare patty, brioche bun, bacon and cheese will probably do me.

The classic bacon and cheese for me, I enjoyed BKs Rodeo Burgers - the ones with onion rings in. Not sure if they still do them?

I've recently discovered Sainsbury's Pork and Chorizo Signature range burgers. I do them for 3 minutes on each side in a red hot griddle pan and serve in a toasted focaccia bun with a slice of beef tomato and some home made BBQ sauce. Possibly the nicest burger I've ever had.
Can't stand overfilled burgers that you can't even fit in your gob!

Soft, fresh white roll, beef burger, cucumber, rocket, spinach, tomato, burger relish and mayo mixed together, a processed cheese single and a bit of English mustard.

I bought a JML STUFTZ device it's brill. I have always made my own but this device shapes the burger which leaves a well, you then add the fillings and then add more meat and it presses it together. I like spicy sausage and fried chilies.

I have a grubby palate, but for me a burger needs just a few elements.

A bap slightly bigger than the cooked burgers.

Two burgers, a bit greasy, so the bap absorbs some of it, with a cheese slice on top of each, sandwiched between said bap.

Nothing else, no sauce and definitely no salad stuff. I don't want the contents of someone's allotment in my burger.

Caramelized onions, gouda, and garlic aioli, on a freshly baked sesame roll.

I love a good burger, I wouldn't say I have a favourite as I like to have something different every time. They have to be proper homemade burgers and come with proper homemade chips though.

The last two I had out were:

1/2 pound burger topped with black pudding, chorizo, stilton, a Jack Daniels reduction and homemade chilli jam.

1/2 pound burger topped with slow cooked brisket, horseradish slaw, stilton, beetroot and beetroot ketchup.

I like to make my own at home too, the last one I did had chipotle and smoked paprika paste in the burger and then I topped it with chorizo, roasted peppers and smoked cheese.

They're not burgers.... they're an excuse for too many words.

I actually had a burger with foie gras on the other week. Bit decadent but very nice.

No, they were definitely burgers. Lovely they were too.

How do you propose describing what is on a burger without using words?

Another vote for blue cheese. Also like chilli con carne, but you can't eat that with your hands.
