EE: Do you think Carol deserves a Julia's theme?
Carol is leaving next Friday and Lindsey has been great, especially in the cancer storyline. I'm not sure if she will decide to go with Robbie to Milton Keynes or if she changes her mind, but I do think she deserves a Julia's theme as she is definitely leaving on a happy note.
Characters like Jean and Lauren/Peter have had a Julia's theme and left happily however Bianca didn't even get the duff duff in the episode when she left. Instead, it was Alfie looking in a mirror and deciding whether to burn the house (which was more or less the same duff duff as the previous 2 episodes) Im assuming that Lauren is leaving for NZ in the same episode but the cast lists have Sonia and Rebecca at the top of the cast list with Carol. I was thinking that Sonia and Rebecca would leave with Carol however this is unlikely as Sonia will stay to be with Tina. Max isn't even on the list and Robbie is at the bottom so I don't think Carol will leave with Robbie to Milton Keynes. Carol has had a large part in the show and has always thought about others so I think she deserves one, but what do you think? |

She definitely deserves some sort of special exit music if not Julia's theme. She is one of EE's best actresses and she will be a big loss to the show

Carol should walk through the market, look into the camera at the audience. Then she starts making weird acapella noises, smiles and everyone joins her in a rousing rendition of 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' as she skips off into the sunset.

It depends on the nature of her exit.

Of course. A long serving character and one of the top actors on the show.

![]() love it I think whatever fits with her exit should be played. I don't get the whole issue with who does or doesn't get julia's theme, it is used when the duff duff isn't appropriate. I have hopes Carol will return in the future |

Yes.
She made me interested in the Brannings as she was the link between them and the Jacksons. Her everyday interactions with Jack Branning and Max Branning were always electric. I just wish she had scenes with her sister Suzie Branning. Her scenes with Derek Branning and Pat Evans were always great to see. More recently she has made me excited for scenes between her and Ian Beale. It makes me hope Pauline Fowler and her would have interacted if Wendy Richards was alive. Pauline was always so nice to Sonia Fowler as a child until she got with Martin Fowler. Her performance during Billie Jacksons death was amazing! Let's not forget her relationship with her grandchildren who I always liked them being with rather than their mum Bianca Jackson. David Wicks and Carol Jackson never gets old for me and I never wanted either of them to leave. Not to mention she is the best actress on the show and her original stint was superb (Alan Jackson and Dan Sullivan.) She was wasted for years on the show sadly and I always hoped Phil Mitchell and Janine Butcher would share more scenes with her. In a nutshell YES she does deserve the theme. I await her return but also look forward to seeing her in other projects. I'd like to her her in a Jimmy McGovern type of show. Accused or Moving On for example. |

Good Post and summary. Carol Definitely deserves a theme, I just hope DTC and team have given her a good enough exit that will suffice even if there isn't a theme.

Tbf, after months on end of Black jackets, camel coats, huge boots, Justin Bieber hair, sour lips and guns, Queen Shirley hasn't appeared that much over the summer.

I think a special "Carol's theme" or perhaps the cast have a sing song at the end.

Max should escape prison and give her a damn good beating, really stick the boot in like. That'll put a smile on her happy face.
