This is a forum and, by its very nature, should be a place where people can air their views. You have to allow people to do that. Just because they don't agree with you does not mean they are wrong. In this case natalian made some very good points, all of which are actually true.

my thoughts exactly

Jay had far better technique AND more cha cha content

Georgia had way more content in her jive too

Katie also had great footwork in her jive

I think Peter was over-marked and I also think he is over-hyped as well

but please stop posting negative comments on Georgia, just to wind me up.

it's really cruel to post harsh comments about such a sweet and honest girl.

I would not waste my time doing that.

I write what I see, irrespective of anyone's else - especially those who seem to spend their entire lives posting about one subject and ignoring the basic rules of being part of a lively, intelligent forum.

the truth is Georgia danced really good for week 1, and the mistakes were not her fault, they were Giovanni to blame.”

I too am a pretty girl, so any critisism is nothing to do with that.

This is from people who know about dancing and latin and ballroom, not someone who likes her because of her looks.

Knowing about dance for over twenty years, Katie had better feet and leg action for the jive, a lot better. This is the truth.

I do hate all the faffing about before a routine though - and those sodding props!”

Here's hoping that once everyone has a little more content to their dances, the props will not be needed.

It does seem that sometimes the faffing goes on rather too long. I particularly dislike the occasions when the "celebrity" has to speak in order to "introduce" their own dance, such as Carol and Jeremy both had to do this weekend.

just make sure Georgia gets voted off first, just a lazy pretty girl, who doesn't know how to dance.

I agree with you Amelia, my friend

The speaking makes me cringe, it has nothing to do with tbe cha cha, they had two and both of them were not great and made it even worse for me!

No, neither of them were great but conversely, both looked as if they loved every minute of it. Jeremy appeared to be having a ball.

In terms of how they will fare from now on, I think both might survive for a few weeks if they continue to look as if they are having fun and are trying to learn.

More at risk, I think, are those who look as if they're not.

That was just ghastly! I sat there thinking, 'no, no, don't do this' and squirming for them.

Just dreadful

But was he dancing a Cha Cha Cha? Or, was he dancing a hip hop routine dressed up as a cha cha cha because he couldn't get used to doing a style outside of what he is used to during the time allowed for training.

I disagree . Katie would be lost and messy and off balance if Anton let go of her hand . Georgia has fantastic balance and great foot movement . Plus she danced most of the dance out of hold . Seems Anton has not the same confidence yet in his partner as Giovanni has .

I like both couples and I'm sure they'll go far .

He/she was not a WUM . Just an overenthusiastic newcomer who liked a particular celeb .

I like the enthusiasm and energy new posters bring to the forum . Its a great shame that other posters cannot show a little tolerance and kindness to such posters .

He all but did the moon walk at one point! I don't think that's a Cha Cha Cha step.

Yep! Excellent description of what he did. Sure as hell wasn't a cha cha.

It's not that he can't move, he can. But if he keeps on doing a Andre Version of a hyped up disco ballroom/show dance I am afraid even his breathless little fans will have to hide behind the cushions during the live shows

So glad you responded to this one so I did not have to. As a long time DS fan there are certain posters whose comments I never read due to a useful device on the the site.

That's what I found the most annoying. And to be fair, that is Janette's fault.
She had a massive advantage over some of the other pros in that she had a celebrity who could actually dance. The fact that she chose to do some kind of discoified nonsense rather than a "proper" dance shows her shortcomings far more than Peter Andre's.
But I do wonder why she chose to do it - does she really not have a clue about choreography, or did she customise the dance for Peter because he couldn't manage to master the steps she wanted him to do?

How bloody patronising!

I like Peter Andre. I think he has great potential. However, breathless, little or a fan I ain't. I just see this for what it is......a light entertainment programme, not a specialist subject on Mastermind.
