Picture quality on that TAR release was ropey at best I thought.

Belated best wishes from me, I hope you had a lovely day and a great year to follow.

I have not seen TAR yet, waiting for Tan. Off now for a mini sleep.

Hi FK

Did you do anything special today/yesterday?

I am not sure what to do, watch TAR anyway or keep it.

Good, birthdays should be all about doing what suits you, I hope someone cooked some food for you.

I was too cold to sleep, decided I will watch Homeland when it is available as Tan is not gripped by this series, and save TAR.

I was surprised Yvette did not go tonight.

eta

I see 720 and 1080 versions are available for Homeland.

I thought Yvette would go too actually.
Brian must have been a bit disappointed seeing how much Yvette was saying she wanted out of there.
I'm sure it passed when he set foot in the Versace Hotel though

I remembered earlier on today that when you said 720p files tend to be a bit quiet on your pc that if you play them in KODI (assuming it's still installed of course) that it has a preamp feature which you can use to increase base volume

Brian even admitted he was sorry to go when Yvette wanted to go, crying all day.

I have never heard of KODI, or any preamp feature, or seen it when looking at system hardware.

cancelled that a smaller file is out.

Oh sorry KODI is the rebadged name for XBMC media player that I go on about from time to time.
I think you installed it once up on a time.

Correct.
I still have it, never used as I have my son's Netflix a/c if ever I get stuck for something to watch, IIRC XBMC was no use for getting links to BB live feed.

eta

I download files and watch them on the PC but XBMC is on the laptop where sound is even worse unless I wear headphones.

XBMC / KODI is a very good media player.
The plugins for feeds and such can be a bit hit and miss though I must admit.

Ah I see .. I like to use headphones when I watch a drama it seems to focus my attention as odd as that may sound.

edit - That android box I pointed out the other day uses KODI as it's primary player.

I noticed that, he used the old name, it was about the first thing he said I understood.

Morning everyone, even those of us on forum holiday. Belated Happy B-Day, FK!

I had to close the tab featuring BB Turkey's live feed. It's on YouTube and although you might not understand a thing, it is riveting.

I am determined not to start watching it but I am curious.

I had a look on the IAC forum, there is a 10 page thread about something supposedly said, but no-one knows what was said.
