Rylance won for best supporting actor in the Tom Hanks film Bridge of Spies.

The show has been very white shame orientated I'm not sure how that will play with American viewers

We are now down to the last four awards.

It has been a long three hours plus

African Americans are about 13% of the population, the Hispanic groups are not making much noise about it and they are 17%. Films set in the present should show a representative proportion of minorities, not many have at least 1 in 3.

They should do but it's the actors who mostly sell films. There are not many top box office bums on cinema seats black actors.

Films are a business no studio wants to lose money.

I would have preferred Saoirse Ronan to win that but at least Jennifer Lawrence didn't win, I can't stand her.

Eddie Redmayne has a permanent look of a cat taking a large dump.

I agree they are a business but they never get the balance right, decades of stick insect females then they go mad for fat, rarely anything in between.

I am hoping Eddy Redmayne does not win, cannot stand him.

Big surprise Leonardo wins at last, for a film that seems cheerless.

Same here, I just paused and restarted. Some do that after an hour.

I think he's almost certainly winning for the second year in a row. It's worth it for the predictably sour look on DiCaprio's face if nothing else.

Hello.
Two episodes in, HBO's Vinyl is not very good at all.

Edit - am I late? Let's let this post stand as a warning to never let me pick your lottery numbers.

In the film he gets molested by a bear.

The only amusing part of the show tonight was when this film won for best cinematography there was a person dressed in a bear outfit sitting and clapping in the audience.

Spotlight and Brooklyn are the 2 films I want to see. Have you seen The Room?

Morning 3WD

Vinyl got off to a poor start with viewing numbers, I'm not surprised.

Leo seemed happy enough, Eddy will no doubt sulk but someone should tell him putting on a dress is not acting.

Last year he sat in a wheelchair and got lucky.

No I haven't seen the room or really heard of it.

Is Vinyl about the music business? I have not heard of it.

I am happy for Leo d C, it cannot be easy to be so baby faced looking for roles.

There was nothing worth downloading this morning. If you wish to watch something we have SH, Brian, Legends, CK we must have other stuff also.

Thanks very much.

I tried looking too soon, they were all cam coded, then I forgot about it.

I heard a very positive radio review of the Room, it did not inspire me to want to watch it.

Did you get any sleep or do you want a few hours before work?

I will leave the choice up to you, I am putting the kettle on, ready for 5.25.

Would Second Chance be OK.

The Room it doesn't sound brilliant.

Starting second chance now, I had saved it in the wrong folder.

Yep, from the team behind Boardwalk. Martin Scorsese directed the first episode, Bobby Cannavale is the lead and Mick Jagger is a producer. I mention Jagger because his questionably talented son has a role.

He won't be firing his agent in the morning.
