Yep she was likely shipped home. At the start of the episode they were on day 35 so Nick has roughly three weeks of a good holiday it's a shame that Kate missed out on that.

Mark Kermode has replaced him, but he will be retiring eventually, though Clive James is still working in his 80s and with cancer.
