2) Despite the above, they are pretty much unknowns. Unless you're claiming the contestants of a Korean talent show are comment knowledge? Did you know about them before the show?

They are not going to kick out one of the main favourites to win the show, and remember they are called 4th Impact now.

Quite a few of the contestants this year have already been signed, released albums from what I remember.

But questions remain over whether professionals should be there at all.even if they change their names what next Boy george appearing under anouther name they already have a successful career as The Gollayan Sisters and The Cercados going back to at least 2010 includes releasing an album called Unstoppable which can be bought in the UK.,i suspect Cowell has a hand in there career and wants to push them more into the limelight

if cowell and the producers invited them to take part, as we all assume they did, then they are hardly likely to then kick them out for being professional when they knew exactly what the band were when they got invited

whether it has any impact on their votes once it gets to the live shows is another matter but i would guess the majority of viewers will not really be familar with their background anyway

I can really see them appealing to a uk audience but it's not a uk audience cowell is interested in for them .

They seem to be a bit creative with their ages, there is no way they 19-27, try 27-37 more like

I rarely take any interest in the groups in this show as its not my type of thing really, but these are an exception to the rule, and are actually pretty decent. I think that they will go down well with the average voter who dont delve into their backgrounds as some on here tend to do.

The whole show is a swizz, but we all are well aware of this by now.

It's best to watch the show and not get invested.

The X factor is just one long extended marketing exercise for the 'chosen ones'.

It's as real and honest as TOWIE or any of the other trash 'reality' stuff.

I don't think they will last long. They're good at the dance routines, but I think the novelty will wear off after a couple of weeks in the lives. During their performance of 'Titanium' at bootcamp when they sang the slow bit of the song at the start, they didn't sound great at all. Also, their voices in general aren't that great...they're very, very shouty. When you take away all the dance routines and strip them back to just the voices, I think they'll be very vulnerable.

They are much better singers than LM though, and look how wel they have done.

I think they are great, they are bit shouty at times on XF. But check out their version of Prayer. They have good control, tone and harmony.

Almost all the bootcamp performances had flaws except very few.

Because there's no rule against it, why should they go?

This criticism of them being professional and therefore they must be criticized is baffling to me. I'm surprised after 12 seasons the commentary on here still reflects this bleeding heart mentality of 'We want some unknown person whose dead grandmother's puppy left the application form in their left shoe with an amazing voice, but no actual performing skills so they'll probably be inconsistent as hell on the show' instead of just 'we want good performances'.

what people are unhappy about is those professional acts being presented as your unknown person/s rather than the show being honest about their backgrounds

This isn't new though.

Throughout the years there's been plenty of acts either with experience, with a stage school background, with past contracts, etc. etc.

Unless that's directly a storyline the show chooses to go with, they don't mention it. Why are people for some reason expecting it to be different here?

i didn't say it was new but the level of professionalism and previous experience the acts have is getting higher every year but the show still tries to pretend they all queue up and wait their turn to audition the same as everyone else when supposedly 22 of the 24 acts that make it to judges houses were actually invited to come on to the show

Again, time after time it comes out that people get recruited/have experience. What I'm saying is that personally, if it's on a higher scale this year, I honestly don't care, and on season 12, I'm surprised by the amount of people that still apparently do. The behind the scenes manipulation has always happened, and it's always going to happen, similar to how the audition phase is probably always going to show a crowd of people standing outside shouting "<insert town here> has the X Factor!" It's formulaic, and they think it works obviously. They're going to stick with it.

When it comes down to it, I just want good performances. If that comes from a top 12 of pros so be it (God knows they've been pretty sparse the last 3 years) and I'm surprised people continue to get indignant about it.

The XFactor has never been about amateurs and has never pretended it was. It's clearly stated that the show is open to anyone to audition or be scouted if you will.

I much prefer to watch live shows with artists capable of delivering good performances and not bumbling amateurs that really aren't up to the job. Anyone worth their salt has gigged and maybe even managed to get some amount of success. In the real world that is, and not the make believe world of some posters on here who think that a rank amateur is going to audition and become a major star!

As far as I'm concerned there's far more interesting acts potentially going to be on the live shows this year than there have been for a long time.

It's because the public has an odd dislike for people that have had training and worked hardto reach a professional level, as if they resent any small success.

They were not invited but they send a video of themselves covering "Let It Go" to producers months after their failure to get a break in South Korea. They didn't win on the Korean Show, they only finished Top 8. The main reason is because they can't pronounce the korean language properly.

They should their mother though who came to the UK with them and she didn't look that old, so maybe they are all under 30?
