do you think ch5 will go for more uncombative guests like sherrie, or as the ratings fell after Farrah left will they carry on with getting guests who they think will be explosive?
do you think the bots brawl will make them more wary of any more bust ups?

I don't think they will go for all guests similar to Sherrie in the house. It's good to have a mix of personalities imo.

However, I would like to see guests that get on, have a bit of a hoohar and at least have some fun.

BB seem hell bent on provoking conflict. Arguments will happen naturally if someone upsets another. There's no need to keep poking the tiger to get a result.

I for one, wouldn't like to see the housemates sipping tea and eating a biscuit and chatting happily ALL the time.

I'd also like to see more fun tasks and a bit of laughter. Call me old fashioned but I enjoy a good titter either with the housemates, or at their expense.

A bit of a rumpus is fine, but I don't like the full on screeching like a banshee. Half the time for no apparent reason, when a civil conversation would have sufficed.

Well they didn't seem to learn anything from Jeremy Jackson so I expect more of these obnoxious, out-of-control characters to be cast.

Absolutely!

I have no doubt though that BB will continue to trawl the depths to bring us even more outrageous and distasteful characters and will contrive lots of controversial tasks and situations because they think it's what the viewers want.

Actually it would seem that some viewers clearly do want it. It'll go on until someone gets seriously hurt IMO.

i want secrets and lies and all the shows since turned up to 11... as snoop said after nominating the fake couple & then praised them "...when someone has a problem with you... fk them and fk them where they live..." bass drop! louder, more in your face, hell give them weapons

Think I'll grab my coat and go with you.

I found this CBB really tiresome with all the yelling. Surely it's not too much to ask for someone to tone their voice down a tad and talk in a civil manner.

Nothing gets solved imo when someone, whoever they may be, resorts to all that shouting and cussing. It just stirs up the masses and before you know it all hell breaks loose.

It's tantamount to watching a 'cock fight.' Not that I've ever watched one

I'd prefer to see a bit of fun and larking about. Something to make me chuckle. Of course, if there is a bit of a rumpus a few 'oooerrs' here and there doesn't go amiss.

Sadly the amount of coverage they received will likely cause them to up the ante.

arent ch5 putting themselves at risk, because whatever happened on bots could have happened in the house?..i do believe there was a famous fight one year,, but that was the time id not watched it..so if tempers flare, heated arguments..things could get smashed, there are knives, ..just wonder how quick they are to rush in or wait till let it play out

They'll keep giving the viewers what many of them want and enjoy; a bear to bait, a witch to hunt.

I don't think the issue is necessarily the characters that they put in the house, it has more to do with the constant goading and manufacturing of situations by BB. It's this fact, more than the unsavoury characters which makes BB such uncomfortable viewing for me. I just hope that the day when somethinhg gets 'even' more out of hand the producers of BB are charged with incitement.

Wouldn't be so bad if they had real characters in the house rather than overpaid, loud obnoxious characters. I'd like more oddball eccentric characters in there. If they are going to insist on putting Americans in there they need to discount people like Farrah because that just reeks of desperation.

Yes it was and they had security on hand who went in to break it up.
One person was removed but several probably should have been including the person who was crowned the winner.

I'm going off-piste here because I do think it's possible they'll change it, but only if someone else intervenes or if there's a hit on revenue (either advertising or voting). If Ben Frow was telling the truth about having a stern editorial after Helen Wood, and about his own 'ethics' not being able to stomach it (*stifles snort*), then he may well draw a line in the sand again here.

Left to their own devices, I'm sure they'd continue to troll us by doing all the same things that viewers get the most het up about and which light up social media. Cos that's what they do...research what we like the least, then repeat it.

I am totally sick of seeing former prostitutes, porn "stars", glamour models and people only considered to be celebrities because they have had sexual intercourse with someone who is considered to be a proper celebrity.
Why can't we have housemates who can enhance the house with fun, laughter and interesting chat?

Because they won't appear on BB. They've got records to make, films to make, shows to film, books to write.

Because real celebrities will want much higher salaries, the lot we see are either past it or wannabes desperate for air time.

Plus real celebrities can be quite boring. One of my favourite celebrities ever was Razor Ruddock but I would imagine that anyone who didn't watch football probably didn't have a clue who he was. He was a character and that was lacking this year. There are a few other ex-footballers like Chris Kamara and Jimmy Bullard who would be great in there. Plenty of other sports people who I would like to see in there too.

I don't think it matters how famous they are. It's what they bring to the house that counts. Like you say though most are wannabes who just want to get back in the limelight.

Razor Ruddock was a good HM.

I agree - more ex sports personalities would be good. It has seemed of late to have got stuck in a 'sleazy' theme - underwear models, kiss and tell, sex chat line girls, porn stars and the like. I know 'sex' sells but when a house is deluged with sleaze it's a bit ewwwwwwwwwww - IMO.

Razor was a good housemate.

I agree, I'd like to see a bit more of a mix. As you say it's all BIB now. That's one reason I didn't bother with this summers BB. Everyone seems much of a muchness and I like a variety.

Besides, three months on the forum would probably send me doolally. First summer I've not watched it though and it was nice.

Weather so so Penny. Could have been better, but then you get what comes along.

I look forward to CBB, but not civilian BB this year for me.

It just all seems hair extensions and wannabe's. Rightly or wrongly I'm a bit fed up with that.

Usually with CBB I hope there are people in there that I find entertaining. I think it's different when you can think 'oh so and so is going in, I like them' etc.

I like to see how they cope in a CBB situation. Some I think I might not like I end up liking and those I thought I'd like, I end up changing my opinion on at times.

Still, we have another CBB in January I believe and IAC soon. Fingers crossed there are some in there we can cheer for. I hope so anyhow.

I honestly admire you for not getting into regular BB. It's about time I grew up really and stopped getting suckered into it. It's not like I particularly enjoy it - it's just become a very bad habit. Absolutely pathetic really.

No, it's not pathetic. Just a hard habit to break.

I really used to enjoy civilian BB, there were some great characters. I may not have particularly liked some, but I found quite a lot fabulous to watch.

Who could forget Craig and Anthony, Makosi, Kinga etc their antics had me glued to the TV.

Every time I hear Tainted Love I always picture Kinga trying to get Eugene to sing it with her. He was so unenthusiastic, it still makes me smile even to this day.

Just lately it appears it's just wannabes. This is the first year I've not watched it, but I can't guarantee I won't be suckered in again next summer

it seems to me that they've given up on the tasks , in both BB and CBB .
a lot of my memories of the explosive moments somehow include characters yelling at each other while wearing some clown outfit etc.

Yes, and you can't really take a clown having a meltdown too seriously can you It all seemed good fun and quite slap stick at times.

As I've said previously, there used to be some really excellent tasks that were fun, frustrating, drove them nutty etc.

Now it all seems like it's last minute, thrown together stuff that lasts a few minutes and it's job done.

Even the 'electrocute' the bottom one is very lame now. Give them a good jolt not a little tingle
