Oldham? That's more disappointing for his category than when Louis used to take his to Ireland year after year. Because of radio commitments - isn't that why he missed bootcamp last night and a few auditions? I wonder why they bothered hiring him if he can't commit.
They surely could've gone to the north of France in a private jet or something?
Just thinking why wouldn't Nick have just kept them in London in a swanky fancy place there.
since he's in London for his radio show it makes more sense than Oldham?
I guess he's taking judges houses seriously to his hometown.
I actually don't have a problem with what Nick is doing. Most of the previous years' judges houses footage is of the contestants moping around before their performances talking about making their families proud. It doesn't really matter where they are doing it. At least this way the contestants won't be treating the whole thing like a holiday.
Also, I don't know why they still call it judges houses when most of the judges don't even use their actual house. At least by going to Nick's hometown it seems a bit more authentic.
Yeah I also don't really care where they go. It's nice to show a few exotic locations but one "underwhelming" one isn't so bad. I'm more disappointed about the least talented member of One Direction joining Simon during the JH stage.
Air travel can really really wreak havoc with a singer's body, especially the throat. Nick's singers are actually at an advantage. They don't have to worry about jet lag or breathing nasty recirculated air.

Surely they won't have an envelope opening that says Oldham
I believe they do it, to give them a boost - to show them what there life could be like if they won, gives them more reason to fight for it when they see it for real - it becomes more than a dream you know?

The sad thing is I think some of the contestants genuinely buy into it. Off the top of my head I don't think any of the winners own a swanky villa/mansion/penthouse in an exotic foreign location. Maybe Leona?
Don't really care where they go but it is a bit underwhelming, Nicks category could've went to anywhere in western Europe literally only a couple of hours away. Maybe Nick should just leave Radio 1...
