Just had the brilliant idea of checking back through posts to see if anyone has mentioned having tickets for Saturday - and I realise now where you are coming from!

It's possibly only an outside chance but we have nothing else so far

Looked more like they were offering music/dance spoilers. 😕

Yep, this is me,I actually hate to know, think its pointless to watch the results if I know and not as involved.

I really hate the spoilers as people will mention it all over the forum in unexpected threads as they presume everyone looks. It really ruins it for me. Also after the first show I cannot really come on here until Sunday, but just after the Saturday show and Sunday day is kind if when the topics of the dances are hot.

But I am the type of person who really never wants to know what I have for Christmas, I never understand when people are there when they are bought and then put under the tree, you may as well have them then!

Each to their own, would be a boring life if we all had the same opinion, I for one absolutely love the spoiler thread AND still enjoy the Sunday show

The official policy is that DS should be spoiler free until sunday.
Doesn't stop muppets starting threads called "I'm so upset that XXX has gone"

We do rely on those who read spoiler "policing" threads and reporting any spoilers out of place.

I stayed spoiler free for years but had to avoid DS in sundays mornings.
The Non App thread has a no spoiler policy which is normally adhered to

I do like to read the spoiler as I'm usually not around to watch the Sunday show. But all the eating of pretend cakes and drinking of pretend wine sets my teeth on edge.

Yes it is a shame that people cannot keep it to one thread, I have even read it on random ones, I think in the tennis one last year. It's human nature to slip up and out it down, but t is a shame for us that do not want to know, especially since I would enjoy discussing the dances while the topic is still hot and fresh in my mind.

It is all well and good reporting the post, but if you have already read it the damage is done.

This isnt a thread for knocking the spoiler thread it's for those of us who really like the spoiler fun on a Saturday night. So please if you take offence at a spoiler thread don't knock it.

I'm sorry about the muppets who drop the spoiler into random threads, but that's not our fault.

Also, we are also wondering what as happened to Abigail'smum and toyboysmum

If I remember correctly, there was very little of this happening last year. Seemed like one of the best years so far for people respecting the rule of keeping spoilers to the spoiler thread alone.

What did seem to be more of an issue was the press leaking the information which then got on to other threads.

It is surely a thread asking if there would be one, I just stated my opinion that I would love here not to be, I believe that is allowed.

I hope those two are okay though.

Yes, I thought the press leaking was the worst.....

Not looking too hopeful for a spoiler this week end though .... will bump the other thread now

I take your point Mimi and I share the wish that people treat spoiler information responsibly so as not to spoil the enjoyment of others. However I suspect spoilering brings a lot of traffic to DS. That is how I found it myself many moons ago. I was trying to find out who had prevailed in the dance off and stumbled across DS.

I would log in for the spoiler quite gratuitously at first. I didn't really read any other threads initially. Then bit by bit a thread title would catch my eye, so I went from just grabbing the information I wanted and leaving, to reading as a lurker and one thing led to another and here I am nearly 9000 posts later.

Where was the knocking of the spoiler thread? Nowhere.

The spoiler thread is fine, and serves an excellent purpose and is a safe haven to discuss the "secret" result.

It's people who go on spoiler thread to get the result then discuss is elsewhere that is the problem.

Thank you . My thoughts exactly. If some fms want to start ranting about the spoiler thread by all means create another thread. Don't derail this thread please .

Bumping this thread to hope that we get a mole .

Yes, it isn't just the spoiler itself, although that is obviously the main point of the Spoiler Thread, but people join the thread hours before the spoiler is due just to chat & have fun!

Fake food, pandas, guess-the-time.... and a few glasses of your favourite tipple!

You could still do that with a hread, just a general discussion thread and bring the same attitudes.

well all the chatting is to fill in the time until the spoiler comes in.
so it doesn't really work in a normal thread.

You could just have a general chit chat live thread for the night and chat as long as you wish, I am sure if you enjoy the chat it can be the same without the spoiler, if the sharing of food and drink and stuff is what was fun, I am sure the spirit could go on in a chatter thread.

I'm sure it could, indeed the main thread has conversations going on well after the show, but you seem to be missing/ignoring the point that the spoiler thread is there for those who want the spoiler, so they wouldn't get that by going on the main thread. The chatting/guess the time/panda aspect is just something that's grown from the prime purpose of the thread.

No, I get the point, but those saying they would miss the chatter could have a thread of chatter, I wasn't saying to those who want the spoiler it would be the same, but chatter about food and pandas can surely go on another thread for general chit chat.

But that's what fills the time whilst waiting for the spoiler, which can come in any time from about 10.15pm until the early hours, so people are waiting up for it and start chatting. If people just want to chatter there's a whole forum devoted to it here in another section. I'm not really understanding your point
